Was at the last 2 P Bruins games. Now as I've admitted before I'm not a hockey expert but they look pretty bad to this casual observer. Svedberg seems to be the only thing keeping the B's in games.
EDIT: Should have said Saturday. They looked pretty good on Friday.

Wait, wasn't the consensus opinion that they looked great in their last game?
I think I read a few posts where mention of "turning a corner" was the phrase
I can`t speak from any experience about the team however, to not hear any fans here who get to see them ever mention solid development of a player, any bloody player is worrysome.
I don`t care if a Bourque is lookin good, the guys been a pro for years, I want to hear the younger names who seem to be making strides in the development area yet.....I keep reading PB threads searching for them and there nowhere to be found
I don`t like it, Cassidy has the most talented squad (Knight injured I know) at his disposal in his time there, and I still read no signs of progress, wins and losses although nice, aren`t the truest guage
Is anyone`s game showing signs of positive development down there???? If not, bring in a coach who can do this please
I been to 5 games and went Friday night. I did not see last nights loss, however, overall from the 5 games I have seen I think they are doing quite well.
Friday night they played the Devils- and say what you want but NJ has on paper the better talent and by my guesstimation 5 guys who will dress for NJ if there ever is a season. Providence outplayed them most of the game accept for a the later half of the third.
Last week at one time both Springfield and Manchester were either 5-1 or 6-1 and the only loss was against the Bruins. Each has more NHL talent- the Falcons much deeper with 6 or more players that will imo dress for Columbus opening night. The Monarchs are not as deep but they have Voynov who imo is ready to become NHL All-Star level. They have a bunch of other players like King who has not played against Providence at the time who is a legit NHLer on the rise, a couple others who played in the NHL during the Cup run- and high picks like Toffoli and Pearson (recent first rounder who looked very good to me)
I'm not saying Providence is a freaking beauty queen here, I'm just saying there is a reason why preseason they were picked 26 out of 30 AHL teams, and why someone told me if the strike is settled Providence could stay largely intact and be as good as any left are the NHL raids rosters. Maybe Sauve or Caron go up- Caron likely, but Boston is stocked up top with pretty much 85% of their Cup team and Dougie on the way.
Overall I'd give Cassidy a strong B....very strong. Putting out Robins-Hansen-McDermid to set tempo was brilliant; and while on the subject- there is no player down there I have seen including Caron and Cohen who has improved as much as McDermid. He has been pretty damn good.
Again, yesterday sounded horrible looking at the box score and I know today is third game in third day- not sure if Sharks were off last night (Providence just abused the St Johns team last Sunday in the same situation and 3-0 win didn't represent how bad they outplayed them)
Also, Tardiff has been very good but he looked sick Friday and I don't think he even did warmups; Camper to me looked like he was ready to blow lunch after every shift- even then the Bruins held there own against a Devils team that had future building blocks Josefson (like him alot), Henrique (love him), Larsson (umm, yah) and a few others who will be up sooner rather than later.
final thing- I'm no expert, basic hockey schmuk watching this but I give Cassidy a thumbs up- and McDermid, McKinnon, Miller- plenty of guys showing improvement to answer your question
