Forward spots are so tough. There are like 10 candidates for 3 or 4 open spots.
Ziba, Rakell, Rask, Boyce, Lindholm, Wennberg, Forsberg, Karlsson, Åberg, Collberg can be considered locks for this tournament, and that leaves Arvidsson, Molin, Görtz, de la Rose, Burakowsky, Strömwall, Schumacher, Sörensen, Sandberg to fight for three spots.
Rönnberg said to Norran in October that it's no secret that Arvidsson is pretty much a lock already.
Arvidsson is a lock in my book. He was one of the best forwards this tournament. No defenceman was bad this tournament but they did not really face any great offensive teams. Arnesson and Djuse really impressed me but can anyone tell these guys to take a slapshot once in a while? The "throw a wrister on goal from the blueline"-tactic will be very ineffective against teams that are strong in front of their goalie (NA teams).
Zibanejad, Lindholm, Forsberg, Karlsson, Collberg, Åberg, Rakell, Rask, Wennberg, Arvidsson, Görtz, Boyce. They are in for me with Molin, Sandberg, de la Rose and Burakovsky fighting for the 13th spot.
But I wouldn't be at all surprised if Zibanejad isn't coming and they bring both DLR and Burakovsky in the end. I think it's pretty apparent by now Roger doesn't mind taking potential over experience. Picking Burakovsky could be the dark horse needed, while a guy like Molin is a slightly better player at this point but doesn't have the same gamebreaking skills.
We could still be. Our defense did not look THAT great last year on paper either but many guys stepped up bigtime. Klefbom was not really considered as a lock last year but ended up on the all-star team. Losing Brodin and Klefbom would be a BIG blow to the team but there is still pretty good D-depth this year. Let's just hope the injury is not surgery-serious.

The team with which Klefbom is signed is gonna recommend him having the surgery for sure, so I really doubt he won't have it, unfortunately.
Rönnberg seems to like to keep the Mora boys together. What will that leave for Lindholm? Arnesson? I think that's where I'd start trying.
Yeah, I seriously think Andersson would be good enough to play this year. He might just be the best defenceman on the PP we have available. There is NO chance he will get selected though, too young and unproven.

That's high praise coming from a Rögle(?) fan.
I agree with everything you wrote, though. Considering he's not been considered up until now, he'd be a huge surprise.
Rasmus, similar to brother Calle would get beaten a lot by fast forwards this year in the World Juniors I think. Advanced physique, but both got heavy feet.
I think i have yet to see him play, but with the numbers he has (36pts in 18games) and considering the second best scorer on his team has 24pts in 20 games, i find hard not to question the fact Norlöv doesn't seem to get any consideration for the WJC.
No chances eh? what's wrong with him? not being on the radar long enough? would be a lame reason.
Does Sweden have their camp similar to Canada in that they invite 40 or so players and you actually have to MAKE the team, or do they just name a roster and take those 22 guys to camp as the US used to do?

They make the roster official early December and then has a camp with a couple of games at home soil before leaving for wherever they're gonna play right before Christmas, and that is the plan again this year.
So to answer your question more directly, there's nothing like that, the next thing that will happen with the U20 team is that the roster will be presented.
