He should be their best player, he'll develop we'll there and will shoot up the rankings.

Yeah exactly, I was wondering the same thing. He didn't look that good this year and his skating is in question for me.

Koys arrived in Shawinigan today, late 90's blonde tipped hair and all:

Nice to see some more talent in the Q. Can't wait to see what he brings to Shawinigan.

For anyone wondering, he is apparently physically 100% but will not be playing tomorrow against Blainville-Boisbriand.
He could make his debut on Friday against Québec and if not then, sometime during the Cats trip to the Maritimes (10/30, 11/1, 11/2, 11/4).

Source.

So what are your impressions after seeing him play?

From what I've heard he's the best player on the team, but he has absolutely no support. Statistically this may not be a good season, but he should learn a lot and will hopefully start to take control of the offense.

It took him a few games but he's coming around. 3 points in his last three game , I believe.

But is it great for his development to play for such a weak team?

Scheifele played for a pretty bad Barrie team in his rookie year and I think he turned out alright.

Stats wise it probably makes little difference playing with men in Slovakia or on a weak Q team. He will get noticed more playing in the Q though, so it should help a little. Plus it shows commitment coming to NA to play.

He's their go to guy, and will get loads of icetime... I don't think it will hurt him.

Hopefully he does well, just reading back on threads that said he was the next big thing, and the next Crosby, a generational talent made me lol.

He's been a non factor, even if it's a weak team.

he is. but forget the very often mentioned 1. round. He is now in QMJHL. But 5 points and only 1 goal in 21 games is really bad.

It is strange one player can have a reputation largely built on one article.

Honestly, i find it more likely Koys doesn't get drafted, than getting taken in the 1st round.

True, Slovak fans have always been more reserved and sensible when discussing him.
