Argos with the most points in a half all season

This could only happen to us. We're in FULL CONTROL of a game, and within 15 minutes it's over, and over in unthinkably bad fashion.

And against Toronto of course. Calvillo? Lulay? Nope, we get to be humiliated by washed up old Ricky Ray. Somebody please shoot Kavis Reed, and then shoot me to put me out of my misery.

Just watch Nichols come in, light it up, and we lose 34-28. That would be the ultimate icing on the cake.

So? Jyles and Joseph both throw harder than Ray.

Is there a reason Mark Nelson continues to rush only 4 lineman? Ray has had a field day back there, and only had some issues when we blitzed him a couple times late in the 2nd half. I assumed they would come after him hard at the beginning and get him rattled. Instead, they've let him off the leash. Nelson has no ****ing clue.

Yeah that was awful, he's invoking messam on that play. Heres the thing that doesn't get noted though. Ball spots have been a complete mystery in this game with the Argos handed an extra yard routinely and Esks getting spotted yards back. If you watch the play before Boyd runs for close to the first down marker. In fact the ball landing inches short of the marker. Which would lead to a QB sneak for the first down. instead its marked as second and a long two yds which means the subsequent run and fumble. That play doesn't even happen were it not for an Argos spot. In a game pretty much dictated by early Argo calls.

Note as well when this game was in its formative stages EVERY call was going against the Eskimos. Every break as well.

But to wit a brilliant runback called back on a phantom hold. An interception off Ray called back on a phantom call. Still haven't seen definitive proof that wasn't a pick.

Those are defining moments.

Ray only established once the D had been out there too long and with Kavis Reed for some reason stringing out the decision to go with Nichols.

A coach has to understand the pulse of a game. After that huge boyd fumble, or for sure after the pick of a shovel pass you HAVE to change up the game just to give your team a lift.

A special award of ****ing incompetence goes to the complete offensive line that are giving up 7yds of scrimmage on every play and may as well not even be on the ****ing field.
are you kidding me? they're TRYING to get pressure on Ray but he's getting rid of the ball quickly....something SMART QBs do

2nd and 18 after an EE sack the Ray comes back with a 1st down...he's absolutely owning us right now

-trucking LBs and Marcus Howard for 3rd and inches
-running QB draws with 6 seconds to go
-throwing short passes to avoid sacks

look at the stats...getting the ball to his play makers...must be a nice thing to have

Outhustled, outcoached, outplayed. This is just disgusting. Being an Esks fan is painful right now.

What a joke. Who can see the scripting. Argos win the cup. You kind of get that sick feeling.
That field goal was easily through - it was just the angle that made it look close.

This game has nothing to do with "scripting" - the Eskimos are playing flat out awful.

The rationale behind starting Joseph is mind-boggling. Look at the Stampeders; Kevin Glenn led the team to a second place finish in the West and had a great year and who does Hufnagel go with? Drew Tate, because he's their future.

There's the difference between a confident, savvy coach and a guy who is always second guessing himself.

With the Eskimos "game plan", I doubt the Argos need a whole lot of help to get where they're at.

Can we do like in pickup games and trade QB's at halftime? Need to even out the teams.

Rod Williams has now confirmed himself as the weak link in the secondary, as I've been saying for 2 years. Too small, gives way too much space, can't tackle and can't cover. Anything else?

Do you honestly not see a difference in the respective offensive lines performance, Or the defensive pressure. ffs Joseph is watching somebody come CLEAN on a play, no time to react, shovels a pass to two other Argos that are somehow in the Eskimos backfield. Theres 3 argos in the Eskimos backfield on nearly every play. We've had multiple runs of -5yds. We're getting tossed around like ragdolls on the line. Men against *******. An absolute embarassment from the esks lines in this game. Not even giving your club a chance.

When Ray has to contend with this type of pressure Ray often folds. Joseph has been slammed to the turf several times already. Eskimos have touched Ray ONCE in the entire half. Once.

Esk Offense Not Making..............???

The Eskimos offence start to fade (after the first Quarter) when Toronto started to Blitz seven men and Joseph (or Crandall) still kept throwing the ball long and did not throw screens nor short and intermediate passes!

The Eskimos fail to make any immediate adjustments.

We'll have to see if they make any half time adjustments!

I think this game proves that Ray is clearly not washed up...but I love how this is killing you considering you told us after the Ray trade that the Esks were better off

check the stats...Ray is picking this defense apart with his smarts

2 passing TD's and a rushing TD...that's 10 TDs to only 1 INT in the last 3 games he's played

This is what happens when you trade one of the best QB's in the league for horse ****! Hope Ray sinks the team to prove a point. Tillman's an idiot and so are the fans who wanted Ray gone. Esks needed to fix the O line not bring in a running QB.

So if the kickoff return is allowed to the Argos 15, we punch the ball in, its 14-0 or if the Interception is allowed, or if the spot on the boyd first down run isn't a joke leading to 2nd and over 2yds and a afumble, you don't think its a different momentum football game?

Every call was helpign the Argos when we had the momentum.

And they need an actual offensive coordinator who doesn't carry around a high school football calibre playbook.

Yeah down by 24 points lets play the QB who can complete at a better than 30% clip.

Two TD's on drives that started from the 25, and 35 yd line respectively, and that required an interception to be overturned by the Argos ref.

yeah ****ing great. Lets tell it how it is when looking over specious stats. Ray tossed for a 100yds in that half. No Joe Montana was required when the opponent is blowing up all on their own.

so you're giving a pass to Joseph cause of his bad offensive line but not to Ray with the same crappy OL last year? your Ray hate know no bounds

and you can say about ANY QB regarding pressure...it's how you adjust to the pressure that makes you better...Ray has done that with quick passes, draws, quick screens etc...

Why does the clock run in the CFL on an incompletion?

I don't understand that.

**** Ray. This guy absolutely mails in the second half of last year, then today decides to put his head down and plough into linebackers. An effort we haven't seen from him in years, and likely won't next week.

Oh well, this team would be totally ****ed with Tom Brady at QB, doesn't much matter with Reed and Crandell in control.
