St. Croix had a primary assist on what ended up being the game winner against the best team in the WHL at the moment.

Is he getting more physical? I haven't been watching the games.

Fast injured and out for the 3rd period for Team Sweden against the Czech Republic. Hagelin and Lindberg are already out of this tournament due to previously sustained injuries. Hmmmmmm

Nothing to do but laugh at this point.

Typical Ranger luck.

Are you implying that there is some sort of conspiracy?

Honestly, it just smells of typical Rangers bad luck.

6 points in 8 games for him, those are pretty good numbers for a freshman who is likely not getting a ton of ice time.

Sammy Noreau now 13 points in 19 games. Getting better and better. Most improved prospect from his draft day by far, IMHO (well, other than Lindberg -- but I meant of Rangers draft picks).

As per SNY the Fasth injury was a minor shoulder sprain. Out two weeks. Nothing serious as far as I know and that's good because he's had a very good season so far.

Noreau is a nice steady player. He did fine at Traverse City last year. If he can continue to improve and become a steady 3rd pair DMan, another solid find by Gordie and Gorton.

Nieves could still make the team if he plays well enough.

Looks like he picked up another assist and now has 14 in 19. Has he improved his quickness since TC? Everything else about his game looked good. Smooth, good hockey sense, hard low shot. Add that to those vicious lefts and we may have a good one.

Three (primary) assists from St.Croix tonight and a +3. Taking him to 29 pts (12+17) - and a +2 - in 21 games so far this season. 18 points in the last 10 games (and a +8 over the last 7).

St. Croix is actually slightly behind his pace from last season. Regardless, as I said before, we know he can score--it's his play away from the puck, defense and ability to handle physicality that will determine his success.

Awesome to see Noreau rounding out his game. If he's even passably mobile, he should be a better Stu Bickell.

Has anyone here gotten to see him play lately? It sounds like he's really developed his game from the time he was drafted. Thoughts and impressions?

Wish we could get some insight from someone who is watching him, i'm curious as well to see what he's done to improve his game this last season.

Watched a couple of archived games of his. Looks fantastic. His skating is a lot better, he makes better decisions, and he seems to just think the game at a higher level than he used to. And he's still a bad mother****er when it comes to fighting and hitting. Looking more and more like he has some real NHL potential.
