Bolden peds is a blessing because he is injured and now we do not have to take off a heathy roster player to add Shancoe.

Great comeback play by Branch... Two easy passes missed, though.

I'll take 3 points over 2 interceptions any day.

This defense is so.. so... bad. Always allowing a TON of 15-20 yards plays. They kill any kind of momentum build by the offense. This defense is simply not good enough.

The Spikes hit on Fitzpatrick reminds me of Lucic railroading Miller: there are other, safer ways to play it, but the QB/goalie tried to capitalize on the fact that he didn't think he'd be hit.

If Spikes goes for an arm tackle, Fitzpatrick gets exactly what he wants: a 50/50 proposition. He dared Spikes to hit him, then lowered his head in to the tackle. Weak.

Not much goes right for Buffalo.

Nothing has seemed right about the post-fumble offense this season, however... And maybe Spiller will get tackled once in this game.

You can always count on Buffalo to screw up at the worst possible times....

I won't lie: Devin McCourty gives me more mixed feelings than any player in Patriots history. Half the time he feels like a major weakness, then he goes and does that. Imma so confused!

There won't be many times you see McCourty win the game for us.

I'll enjoy this one.

On a less happy note, what the hell is up with this team in the 2nd half?

Fitz threw the ball right at him. He's still horrible.

Yeah the last play was all Fitz but McCourty did force the fumble turnover at the 1 yard line from Jackson that was huge, and if the offence could have gotten a first down or two games pretty much done by the time Buffalo got the Ball at the 2 min warning.

I think Spikes pulled a Mo Lewis today knocking out Fred Jackson and forcing more Spiller going forward . But may be too little too late for Buffalo.

Lots of nice pieces in place there to build on, particularly at skill positions. Could be a nice rebounding job for Andy Reid if they'd give him 100% control

Colts next week... That should be a good one.

If we can barely beat the Jets and Bills, God help us, but with a decent 2nd half it would have been a rout... Hopefully we play to our potential next Sunday, because we definitely did not do that today.

It will be nice to have Talib and Chung in the secondary next week.

This week it seemed like the defense was missing a tackle or two for every buffalo penalty. Maybe a focus going forward is tackling everyone.

...

There was a conversation I had earlier with an NFL fan in this thread (I can't remember who, and I apologize for that) who said that they felt the Texans were the league's most complete team. I challenged that, stating that their competition was weak and that their record was deceitful.

I may have been wrong.

****in' team played an almost perfect game against a very difficult Bears club tonight. I'm sure much will be made about Cutler's injury and the role it played in the second half (it certainly affected the outcome). But Houston played it SMART. And I don't think Cutler is good enough of a QB that his presence would have been a win for Chicago.

Well done and good call. I was unjustly critical and probably wrong.

Easily the most complete team in the AF, weak schedule and all. The NFC is wide open still though. ATL is overrated, they've won some close games, and like HOU have had an easy schedule. SF is a bit of an enigma as well. They look completely dominant, then play like crap. NYG are in their typical 2nd half swoon that'll see them get in to the playoffs at 9-7. CHI is a scary team. If they get anything resembling an offense they are probably the most complete team in the NFC. That defense is scary good.

I an eagle kept mentioning how Pats Offense is one of the best in the league at the least amount of 3 and outs, but i'm wondering how many of those were in the 4th quarter, or other crunch time like situations. The teflon OC continues to crap his pants when things get a little hot under the collar. Thank you defense for saving our bacon.

Cant remember if it was in here or the ticket thread, but people were complaining and warning others about how security at Gillette were wrongfully detaining fans because they were "intoxicated."

Looks like they're getting called on it after detaining a police officer. Four people have joined a class action lawsuit against the Foxborough police for their policy.

If you know anyone that this happened to, might be worth passing this on.
