I like Kadri but he needs to get it going this year. This lockout should help him the most. He needs to get something out of this year that tells Dallas Eakins, Brian Burke and Carlyle that he is ready for the NHL.
With 3 games in 3 nights with 3 different goalies, all with wins...whew that was a mouthful...it will be interesting to see who gets the next start. My guess is Eakins will go back to Scrivens and try to get him going. If I remember correctly he had a bit of a rough start last year aswell.

Haven't been watching the Marlies much this year, but I have checked the boxscores. Komarov seems to be putting up nice numbers in his first year overseas. He scored his 5th goal tonight and was a +1 to bring his season totals to 5 goals, 7 points, +5, 20pim in 11 games.
Can anyone tell me how he's looked out there. Does he look like he can challenge for a bottom 6 role with the big club either this year or next?

He's been one of their best forwards. First few games he was getting aquinted with the different rink size. In that time he took a pest role in which he was quite effective. This past week or so he's turned it on offensively. Usually by just being at the right place at the right time in the slot. He's shown that he can be more than a pest out there. However it's a small sample size, and who knows if he'll make it to the NHL, but so far so good.
I think it's a product of Eakins zero entitlement style. Just because Ross is a somewhat hyped second round pick doesn't mean Eakins will play him a bunch. We also saw this with the benching of Kadri and Colborne. That's just how Dallas rolls.

Everyone gets their chances and will earn it, ryan had to toil in the ECHL and he was a very late second rounder.
I hope these have not been covered but if so I leave it to the moderators to re-position this thread.
(1) I thought Colton Orr had one year left on his contract. Why is he not shown on the Marlies' roster?
(2) has Jeff Finger caught on with anyone?
(3) the Leafs had an affiliation with Reading last year in the ECHL>
For whatever reason, that has lapsed. The NHL team seems to have dropped the ball on this because there are too many extra players still on the Marlies who need playing time. Does anyone else think this shows some bad decision making on the Leafs' part?
