One of the few failed 1st round picks the Preds used on a defenseman.
I'm actually basing it on the games I've seen of Parent so far. Parent is supposed to be a defensive specialist, and for the most part he seems to fit that, but his decision making seems really questionable from what I've seen. I guess I just don't trust the decisions he makes when he has the puck. I'd prefer to see someone like Clark or Guenin with him(him being Vatanen).

I think we should send Bobkov down to get some starts with the Komets, and hopefully a bit of stability. Have Andersen backup Cousineau till he figures out what that glove on his hand is there for.

Fair enough. Parent hasn't really impressed me so far in either end of the rink either although there are probably worse players to pair with Vatanen. I wonder if Clark and Guenin both being RHS has prevented them from being paired with Vatanen so far. Most of the pairings employed have had 1 LHS and 1 RHS.

The first line has been pretty ineffective.

At least the guys are getting scoring changes in this period. Lasch looks good, and Vatanen better than in the last few games. The offensive rushes are back!

Anyway, Springfield has a tight D, tough team to score against. I hope the guys save energy for tomorrow's game against Albany.

A good PP effort resulted in a PP2 but no score yet.

God I hope they aren't putting Palmieri at the point in preparation for that.

It's starting to remind me of Ducks' last season. Win the opening stretch, with a dose of luck, and then downhill...

If Wagner's offense doesn't come around, he should at least be a very good bottom six guy for us.

Is Vatanen the only one of Norfolkers who can attack?
