Rodwell and Faust both have yet to record a point this season. And surprisingly enough, Ben Thomson has more points so far than Ben Johnson. And Black's ahead of both of them by a sizable chunk.

It's like the "competiton" Clarkson had with Pari$e all year long.

Good stuff from all the kids. I like how each of these guys has a different play style, but each is effective in his own way: Matteau crashes the net and plays a heavy grinding style, Black is the speedster with some slick moves, and Boucher is a pure sniper. But all of them have 10 goals.

Canada West lost 6-3 to USA in the Gold medal game of the World Junior A Challenge. Kerfoot was held pointless in Canada West's last 2 games but still finished with 5 pts in 4 games.

Matteau seemed to have a really strong game last night from what I read on twitter. Good goal too apparently, shame it's difficult to find good highlights from the Q.

Over the years, I've come to understand that THN is a nice reference but generally pretty questionable in terms of prospects. Teams even use The Future Watch for propaganda at times. The teams themselves will submit their top 10 list of prospects (this is why some of us wonder why THN keeps ranking Frazee as highly). Other teams like the Islanders will keep a guy off their top 10 list if there's any danger of him not signing and going into the draft. In recent years, they did that with Kevin Poulin and Casey Cizikas. The Hurricanes did a similar thing last year with Frederik Andersen who went back into the 2012 draft.

This remains one of my favorite THN oops. Edmonton has a couple of high end prospects in Jani Rita and Alexei Semenov. It total, THN ranks them 11th.

Meanwhile Detroit is 25th. All they had were Nik Kronwall along with some late rounders named Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk.

They are really.

As of right now, Matteau is a guy with questionable offensive potential, Boucher is extremely boom or bust, and Black seems to be hiding under the radar.

THN can go suck on a lemon. Our kids are doing fine, and I'm sure we'll get a gem from at least one of those three.

THN isn't wrong in saying that, we are pretty well screwed moving forward up front. There are no elite players and only a few 2nd/3rd line potential players, more so 3rd liners.

It was a joke guys, a friggen joke!

That said, I always use to say that there`s at least a little bit of truth to every joke...

And this certainly is true, we lack an offensive difference maker in our pipeline. But still, that was not the point.
