It's great that he's finally finding his ice legs again. I love that he's rocking the Jets helmet. I half expected them to use a generic one because of the labour strife. Now if only Kane could find his game again.
It's quite possible the guy just can't find the motivation to play in the Czech league. He is used to playing against the best in the world and he might just not be mentally prepared enough for games.
This shows that when it matters more, he plays better. That is good news for us. Some goalies, it's the opposite... I won't name names but I think we can all think of an example or 2.
That arena was about as full as a Phoenix Coyotes game.
It was a Russia-Czech Republic game played in Finland.

I doubt it. It has more to do with him playing behind a piss-poor defence in Liberec.
I suspect a lot of 3rd or 4th liners from the best league in the world wouldn't make it in Extraliga. The game is different.

Since there are rules against claims without paper source on this forum, I"m gonna put it out here very mildly: He's got other interests in Czech Republic besides hockey. And I'm very surprised how well he played those two games for the national team.

Does he like to drink often? Could be why he's one of the heaviest goalies in the NHL.

Some "solid" (lol sorry I'm terrible) names there. So if he can start putting up record numbers like Luongo, Smith or a Young Brodeur... Pavs can be heaviest for all I care hahaha
Eliteprospects.com is reporting that Pavelec is leaving Liberec. Anyone know what's up?
His contract expired on 4th of November and he decided not to extend it. Now, he's going back to Winnipeg to train and if the lockout ends up cancelling the season, he might play in KHL for Spartak Moscow (they are interested).
