There are 3 tv providers anywhere in Canada. There are 3 wireless providers in Canada. Bell and Rogers are 2 of those 3 and a lot of people invested in those services before they bought the Leafs.
Meanwhile there are hundreds of bars in Ottawa. You don't have any contractual obligations to go to a particular bar.
Bottom line is that no REAL Senators fan would go to the latest branch of the Leafs' evil empire.
This is hilarious if you're not being sarcastic. What do you think of Sens fans who go to Sens-Leafs games at the ACC?
It's a bar owned by a company that owns a rival team. Relax.

It's fine as long as they don't buy any concessions. Leaf games are sold out regardless so you're not giving the evil empire any additional revenue.

It's a LEAF bar. If you want to go there and be a Leaf fan, that's your prerogative. But I'll go elsewhere and remain a Senators fan thank you very much.

So, let me make sure I have this right.
You're saying, as soon as someone steps in the door of Real Sports, that makes them a Leafs fan?
Amazeballs.
I asked for people to get moar over the top a few posts ago. So awesome that it happened.
The owner of The Exchange in Rideau Centre used to support the Los Angeles Rams. Never eating there again.
The owner of Babylon's cousin's uncle's nephew once had a dog who definitely had some Buffalo Sabres sympathies. Not getting my business ever again, no sirree Bob.
Ridiculous argument.

Or at the very least a Leaf sympathizer. Not a real Senators fan, that's for sure, unless they're completely ignorant about what the bar is. So I might cut someone some slack if they have like down's syndrome or something. But otherwise, they're turning their back on the Senators and the city of Ottawa.

Anyway, am going to the opening this thursday! Not like a grand opening, but cocktails and finger foods kinda thing, should be some interesting characters there. Can't wait to see the place!
I could care less about who owns it but if it's anything like the TO version with it's lousy service, watered down drinks and general "blah" food menu, I'll avoid it.
Let's just say that you can tell the MLSE owns it. It's full all the time and no one there cares about putting out a quality product.

Ouch. That's a really bad sign.
Being Ottawa, I'm sure MLSE would have sense enough to give the bar a Sens look and feel. But if food and drinks are bad, well, that's enough to turn me away. Is it cheap at least?? Yeah, dumb question.
Otherwise, I wouldn't mind heading to a Leaf's bar as long as I don't have to put up with die-hard block headed Leaf fans.
You see there are these things called websites. Sometimes for bars and restaurants they have these other things called menus on them. On those menus they even have the prices sometimes.
I'm still a real Sens fan unlike the phony Sens fans who are trying to justify going to a Leaf bar with silly rationalizations.

No, it isnt' cheap. Beers range from $7.50 to $10 a pint and cocktails are priced similarly. The food is overpriced as well. I believe a plate of wings was around $14. You're paying for "atmosphere" there. The big screens and the attractive waitresses who could care less about actually being good at their jobs. Also, if you like hanging out with douchey lawyers, investment bankers and other "corporate elite" then its the bar for you.
Seriously guys, Real Sports is categorically "Toronto" in every way. Pretending so hard to be cool and hip like something you'd find in New York or LA but coming up way short. Because it's still Toronto.
I'd rather hang out at a sports bar where the dress code is the jersey of the team you're supporting and not a Hugo Boss suit. I have to wear monkey suits all day, I don't want to wear them while watching hockey too.

You went on a Leafs website? To me, thats support, so ur not a real Sens fan.....
