That's more like it. I hope you understand that's sounds a bit different than 'he killed a man', no?

Comparing hockey fights vs baseball bench clearing situation is laughable. Imagine a hockey player at center ice skating as fast as he can towards another player on the goal line with everybody knowing that he's going to attack him. He might get one chance to throw a punch (without any squaring off between the two) and then there's gonna be a mob of players separating them and each other. If baseball players were able to fight the same way hockey players do it'd look totally different. That's where the ignorance from a hockey forum shows its head.

I say NFL, too much size/strength/toughness to be matched

I imagine a good baseball swing to the skull would do more damage than a hockey stick, so I would go with MLB.

Seems to me a lot of MLB players are fatties.. do they have the stamina to keep up with NHL players?

But yeah.. NFLers are scary.

One of the more ignorant statements I've ever read on the History site.

But, 'tis expected from trolls.

You can be politically incorrect and still be correct. Not everyone in the NFL comes from a Michael Oher background, but enough did. The NFL has more players being caught with weapons than any other league. They didn't all come from rural Saskatchewan you know?

Ok? Care to elaborate?

I love hockey - it's my favorite sport in the world. But I'm a huge sports fan in general and closely follow hockey, football, baseball, and basketball... And golf. But hockey is still my favorite.

With that being said, I typically hate seeing threads on hfboards comparing hockey to other sports. The discussion becomes as one would expect on a hockey site, pro-hockey, but as a sport fan it annoys me to no end.

Baseball situations (not going to call them fights because they rarely are) and dropping the gloves in hockey are two totally different situations. I'm not convinced that MLB players would win against NHL players (or vice versa), but Using these situations as an example of why hockey players would be better in a street fight is as I earlier stated - laughable.
