Yeah well I'm more interested on how Puerto Rico is going to vote in its poll regarding statehood. Its a ***** to find any concrete news regarding it, but I'm facinated by the potential of seeing a 51st state

I'm pretty interested in that as well but it is difficult to find. The only source I found seemed to imply that a decent amount of people supported statehood(which would of course, need to be decided by congress afterward) but it was only half of the precincts reporting.

Exactly. The process to statehood can be vague or convoluted at times, but ultimately Congress does indeed approve any new state into the union. Right now... I think Congress would approve it if they were given the request... but I'm talkin out of my ass here. I wasn't alive the last time a state was admitted into the union
Watching CNBC's Sports Biz. (Had opening segment on 49ers)
Just had a promo for tonight's "Burn Notice" (fall) season premiere.
Haven't been paying attention -- stopped watching about a year ago.
I'm still behind after only watching the first two seasons. I have caught up on everything else(except the Walking Dead) but I can't seem to get myself around to watching Burn Notice again.

I stopped watching last season. The writing got truly awful despite a really good first few seasons. I wonder if they moved their best writers to their new shows or something.
Table (after a few screenfuls of tl;dr text) of which TV shows have been cancelled (only 2 to date), plus likely/certain to be cancelled/renewed shows.

This is why I rarely can get into network shows ... I start to care and *thwwwp* gone

I was kind of getting into that last resort show, somewhat interesting premise. Too bad.
I tend to watch off-beat shows, none of the mainstream stuff, so they tend to get canceled a lot. I wonder if Whedon will get to bring Firefly back now that he's made one of the most profitable films in movie history, hah.

Speaking of Firefly, I was just watching one of those comic-con specials on TV. Apparently Inara had something in her that, if she was ever ***** (forced to have sex), that person would die. Whedon was planning an episode where she gets kidnapped by Reavers, and when Mal finally comes to save her, he sees the ship full of dead Reavers.
I'm kinda glad they never had a chance to do that. That's way too dark.

Inara's story was probably going to end up going dark all around. Somewhere I read that Morena Baccarin said she figured out from reading the scripts and other material (and was later confirmed as correct by the writers) that Inara had some sort of fatal illness and didn't have long to live. So given how much Whedon loves to milk all the drama and angst as he can out of character death, things with her probably would've taken a dark turn somewhere down the line.

Yeah but the AIDS equivalent is nothing compared to getting ***** by hundreds of Reavers.
Does anyone watch the show Grimm? I just saw an episode today and was wondering if it's worth watching all the prior episodes.
You could to get know all the so called fairy tale monsters if you well. But as my improv firned summed it up, the show should be called Werewolf Party cause that's pretty much all you see!
I may be getting a job that would require me to commute 1hr10m from where I am now and I don't particularly want to leave where I am. Is it feasible or would I get too depressed doing it?
I'd be leaving my home around 5:45-6:00am, and leaving work at 4:00pm.

It sucks.
My good days are one hour. my bad days are 90 minutes
I commuted an hour and a half each way to SF when I was going to school ... half was driving, the other half using BART. I hated every second of it. It would depend on the money, I suppose ...
the pop p ads on these here boards are getting to be to much, any way to shut them off?

And regarding commute -- if you can go public transit, many/most buses/trains now have wifi so you can "work" on the computer to/from (or play or catch up with email, etc.). If you're driving, it can be really frustrating.
