that's one of the reasons I say the Babe was a much better player than Barry Roids. and let's not forget, the Babe was a dominant pitcher

we all got drunk one day or another, we all know how what alcohol does to the judgement, reflexes and what not.
could you hit a homer while being drunk? could you even touch a ball thrown to you at 75-80 mph while being?
Speaks as to the poor quality of the pitchers in that era to me. I doubt any MLB player today could hit the ball against Randy Johnson if drunk.
Bonds cheated, it's clear to see, yet unproven. He's not alone. Remember corked bats, ball scuffers and spit balls? There are many players on the juice past and present. If Bonds would have been a media darling instead of a surly SOB, this chase for the Home run record would be a magic carpet ride.

Unfortunately if Bonds breaks Hank Aarons record, one of two things will happen (or both)- 1.)people will forget about the roids' issues about 20-30's or more from now. 2.) His "record" will always be suspect to some people. Either way, no win situtation.
