I was at the game and think Pierre Dorion was standing right behind me.

Was at the game. Ceci looked alright got a decent amount of ice time. Looked a bit rushed offensively but his skating and defensive awareness seemed good. Peumpel was medicore as well. I like the way he skates, wide power strides. Bit of a floater and wasnt too active physically. Both looked lost on the PP but mostly due to a lack of practice i would assume.

Met tyler seguin too. Guys a bit of a ******. Pete Chiarelli was there as well. Wasn't able to speak with him tho.

Yeah ceci and puempel need to step it up. Puempel is lucky, he is getting a second shot on monday to show some more.
Ceci might just need to gain some confidence. You can almost see his brain freezing up out there.

Neither are expected to make it all the way at this point. They already know Ceci's getting an invite to camp either way.

In games like these, small percentage shows really well, small percentage shows poorly, and there's a big middle group. Sometimes just doing fine is all you can ask for in these games.

Just like the WJC's people read way too much into these games.

Ya exactly, and to add to what I said...several of the guys that show well in these games don't have a chance of making the team and some of the guys that sucked may be seen as locks.

These games are pretty important for a certain group of players...but for the most part, for good or bad, most are just filling spots.

by "step it up" i mean just play hard. they both have the skills. it looks like, at least with ceci are overthinking or not playing with enough confidence.

this isn't about whether they are good players or not. This is the subway super series thread where we can discuss the games and player performances in this series. If a player is not having a good game, it's ok to talk about it. It's not a comment on the player's long term potential or ability.

In this game puempel was floating around and ceci was making bad decisions.

right now it was given to Strome and hamilton.

Puempel deflected Hamiltons shot and the rebound was picked up by Corrado.

They will correct it when they look at it again.

I've always been a fan of Frankie Corrado. I think the nucks got a real good player in him.

I know it means nothing, but if Puempel doesn't get credit for that assist, I am going to be upset.

I only caught the last period. How did he look in the first 2?
Didn't do much in the 3rd.

Hard to gauge. Everyone was all over the place for the whole game.
