Question for anyone watching the game. Are there any fans in OKC at 10:30 in the morning on a Tuesday? Seriously, I'd be surprised if there was even 500.

Looks pretty empty, they have some promotion where they get some schools to do a fieldtrip to the game so it looks like it's pretty much all kids in the crowd.

Honestly doesn't look much different though...could be wrong.
Not sure where this notion comes from that I gave Nelson 12 or 13 games to come to a conclusion. I noted last season that Nelson wasn't focused or adept at developing players further to their NHL games. I noted no improvement in Omark, Paajarvi in their NHL roles. Only Hartikainen, who's harti on his own, with or without coaching is showing any readiness for his upcoming NHL role.
The role of a farm team coach is developing talent, skills, abilities that will be useful for the parent club.
What indications are there of that happening?
PRV has improved, just not on the score sheet. Pitlick was coming along quite well last year. Plante became AHL all-star, Cornet had a better year than anyone thought he would, Omark yourself said he didn't listen to coaches.

Interesting that you would say this because as i recall, you were a Renney fan who led the team into the sewer and got nothing out of secondary players yet Nelson who got the most out of his team last season and led them to the WCF is a bum. I find that interesting.
Care to explain?
FTR, i was never a fan of bringing in Nelson as the next Oilers coach just yet but he has done a fine job down there, don't know why you say otherwise.
Well, the Barons easily won that period. It was actually a great period. Would have liked us to bury a couple there but good push back and absolutely nothing to worry about with the kids who dominate out there.
Could some of this just be because of bad goaltending? Were they really lazy to start? I look more for if the Barons are carrying the play overall than just the score.

Roy was terrible off the start, OKC didnt look ready though. Can't blame them considering how early of a start it is. Came around in the 2nd and controlled the play for the most part.
We had a bet on who would have more points this year. I said Sequin and GL; he said Hall and RNH. I'm way ahead.
They're not even playing In the same league and its not because none of them aren't capable of doing it there's a......Lockout? Not sure where alandeskog is playing but Seguin has one less point than Nuge.
I think the OKC is actually what is hurting the team. They have a lot of young dmen and that is not good. Plante and Tuebert have not established themselves as AHL dmen but yet they are still playing. Schultz and Marincin, this is their first year in the AHL. Fedun is recovering from a broken leg. There is not a lot of depth on defense if you ask me.
