Didn't K.Lowe sign Horcoff, and Souray and try to sign Vanek, Gomez and Hossa. If your going to B*&^%, get your facts right.

So why didn't Nashville re-sign him then?

A new arena.

Hopefully Katz and yegcc wakes up and smells the coffee or else the Oilers are gonezo out of EDM.

The threat of the Oilers leaving shouldn't be swept under the rug.

Get rid of Horcoff ASAP, no question, he is an awful captain and quite frankly a disgrace to the Oilers, and I'll admit he's a big part of some problem, but Hemsky and Smyth? I wouldn't believe for them to be bad influence or holding the team back at all.
Stauffers actually mentioned several times on his show that Smyth may not be they're the leader the fans perceive him to be. By the sounds of it he came off as having a strong sense of entitlement and whined about PP minutes.
I remember when Smyth extension talks were the subject of discussion, and every time someone called in to say he was a locker room guy, vocal, ect, Stauffer countered it saying that fans just assume these things and aren't in the locker room to see these things as fact.

A CBA so they can start playing again and we either show signs of improvement or cement our god-given right to that first overall draft pick!

1) size in the top 6, preferably a centre.
2) a top pairing, minute eating, horse of a dman.
3) ??? - Dubnyk, if he is a true starter, we're fine, if he's not, this becomes the number one need.

I'll say a number 1 defenseman.
1. quit playing NKB
From boxing day on:
NKB
17GM started 1W-12L-4 OTL 3.24GA .881 Sv%
Dubnyk
30GM Started 16W-11L-3 OTL 2.41GA .924SV%

2. Not having Gilbert, Barker, Tuebert in our top 6 Dmen is great.
tuebert is now our tenth option.

Dubnyk played 13 games with:
Smid-Petry
Whitney-N. Schultz
Sutton-XXX
dubnyk was
13GM 11W-1L-1 OTL
2.11GA .935 SV%

A starting D unit of
Smid-Petry
Whitney-N. Schultz
Sutton-J. Schultz
with DD in net.
PROBLEM???????????

Peckham-Potter
Fedun-Tuebert

3. playing the young player with the forwards they were most successsful with in production and Goal Differential with Best LW-C-RW combination Last two years.

Hall with:
C - Horcoff .913GF/20 +.348GF/20
RW - Eberle 1.034GF/20 +.142GD/20

RNH with:
LW - Smyth 1.421GF/20 +.547GD/20
RW - Eberle 1.057GF/20 +.341GD/20

Eberle with:
LW - Smyth 1.743GF/20 +1.017GD/20
C - RNH 1.084GF/20 +.341GD/20

Gagner:
LW - Smyth 1.308GF/20 +.916GD/20
RW - Hemsky .755GF/20 +.084GD/20

Harti
C - Gagner .670GF/20 +.338GD/20
RW - Hemsky .747GF/20 +.560GD/20

MP with:
C- Belanger .441GF/20 +.177GD/20
RW - Hemsky 1.074GF/20 +.597GD/20
From this production and GD history for last two seasons.

Three lines are obvious.
Smyth-RNH-Eberle
Hall-Horc-Yak
Harti/MP-Gagner-Hemsky

Jones-Belanger were the 5th best C-W pk combination in the league behind
Plekanec-Darche
Zubrus-Parise
Cooke-Staal
Kesler-Burrows
two pairs who are not together post lockout.

question is of the remaining who has the best EV production with these two.
Belanger -Eager .759GF/20 +.253GD/20
Jones - Eager 1.129GF/20 +.565GD/20

Eager/MP-Belanger-Jones

I'm pretty sure you can simply order that at your local bar.
