That was a super fun game!
Pretty entertaining hockey!
Gardiner was the best player for sure. I thought all the rest of the marlies did a good job too. No obvious bad games for anybody and pretty solid all around.
Kostka picks up 3 assists, Gardiner a goal and an assist and Ranger also had 2 points.
Kostka is almost a point per game with 11 points in 12 games. Gardiner doing very well offensively with 5 goals and 9 points in 12 games.
Colborne didn't pick up a point, but I felt he was one of the more dangerous Marlies forwards. Kadri was strong too. If they both keep up the way they've played recently, the points will come.
Marlies on a bit of a roll even if some of the games were rollercoasters. Hopefully they can maintain.
What!? I thought the game was at night Wow.. it started at 11:30 AM? That's like 9 AM for Edmonton fans..who would watch this early even if there was a stream?
From the scoreboard it looks like a pretty exciting game, I don't suppose Eakins would be too happy nearly blowing a 2-3 goal lead though.

Wow that shocked me. I thought he was the best all around player today.
Good win guys
Giving up that large a lead is concerning but 2 points is 2 points. Hopefully surviving these kind of situations gives them the momentum to keep pushing forward and extending that win streak.

Gardiner with the OT .
I believe the game was scheduled for an elementary school field-trip or something.

I'd argue the comeback from OKC was a result of Eakins bench minor.
I think Eakins needs to watch from the stands next game..
Hey John-Eric I appreciate the play-by-play during the game. I was in class for the majority of it so I wasn't able to listen, so your job as LR was much appreciated.

So yeah, thanks.
No problem! It was an interesting game to say the least.
I said earlier when it was 4-0 that even then it wasn't safe. The Edmonton elite prospects could strike at anytime, and they did. Amazing talents, wish we had some forwards with that kind of potential in the prospects. Still, we pulled out the win, and our guys are moving in the right direction. Scoring spread out well on our team, but despite them scoring five goals, 15 points, 12 of those points go to their big 4.
Ok well this is a lesson for the marlies. Never take your foot off the pedal. Especially against this team. I'm very glad we finished with a win the refing was not on our side.
Can anyone give a detailed explanation of what happened at the end of the game? I know there wasn't much opportunity for people to watch but whatever you could give would be appreciated. I stopped paying attention after the Marlies made it 5-2, then I checked the boxscore after work and it was 6-5 with a coach ejected and player given a misconduct for official abuse.
It would seem both teams lived up to their parent clubs reputations for porous defense and bad goaltending.
