Well I don't want to waste Forte all game chip blocking and it's not like Davis can block worth a damn.

I would play Adams (TE) ,, He might be able to step up in blocking role at TE

You can remove the Vikings for good. Why people got excited over the fast start I don't know. This was a 5-7 win team who's most of their wins we're supposed to come early on.

My faith in Ponder diminishes with each passing week.

Both teams have played their schedules quite well, but until Chicago and Atlanta show they can beat elite teams, I'll have my doubts.

Thank you. Glad I am not the only person with this mindset. Are they good teams? Certainly, but they haven't had many tests. Atlanta has the best win between the two (Denver). We'll see what Chicago is really made of these next two games.

That's pretty much my exact opinion. They're good teams that have played their schedules quite well. These next 2 weeks will convince me if Chicago is an elite team or not.

I said similar comments in another thread, but if Chicago goes 0-2 yet loses respectably, they will have proven more to me than Atlanta. That speaks volumes of how soft the Falcons schedule has turned out to be.

The Falcons will have to win in the playoffs to prove themselves. Their only game against a solid team in the regular season is vs NYG. Though they could very well lose to NO and at TB.

Divison Winners

AFC, pretty darn weak this year.

West - Denver appears to have the inside track on winning the division. SD is too up and down. They might be able to land a WC spot however. I can see an 9-7 WC team in the AFC. Raiders have 5 losses already with some tough games left on their schedule. Chiefs are fighting for the top pick in the draft.

East - Expect NE to pull away from the other teams based soley on their offense. Defense sucks. Dolphins, playing better than expected with a rookie QB. Still in the mix. Jets, don't think they can pull it together. No faith in the QB situation. Bills, need a QB.

South - Houston is going to take the division. Indy, surprisingly solid this year. Jags, doing what we expected, being bad and a top pick contender. Expected more from the Titans this season.

Central - Baltimore still has the inside track. As long as they split with the Steelers this season, they stand a good chance of holding onto the division title. Flacco needs to step his game up more. Steelers, still in the mix. Bengals in tough. Don't think they are going to make it. Browns, another season of futility for them.

So, 3 of the divisions should be set with Denver, Houston, and New England. Between Baltimore and Pittsburgh for the Central. Leaves 1 WC team left in Indy, SD, Miami. Indy has the tie breaker over Miami now with their victory.

NFC

East - New York should take it home. Cowboys and Eagles disappointing this season. Washington, this is a learning year for RG3.

Central - Chicago doing well. Need to hold court against the Packers to split the season series. If they can do that, they should lock up 1st in the central. Detroit, disappointing so far. Minnesota, ok because of AP.

South - Atlanta all the way here. TB, starting to show that they are a playoff team. NO, too deep a hole to start the season. Carolina, need more talent.

West - SF clear favorite out west. Seattle, excellent at home. Struggle on the road with a rookie QB. Arizona, they need a QB. Still haven't developed a good running game to take pressure off their QB. STL, not enough talent, but will re-stock at the draft with their pick and Washington's. Need a play making WR. Need to get a RB either with their 2nd 1st rounder or their 2nd rounder to replace Jackson.

SF, NYG, ATL, CHI, GB seem like the playoff teams in the NFC at the halfway point. Last WC will go to TB at this point. Detroit has a lot of ground to make up. Have the talent, but have to put it together. Don't see Dal/PHI/NO making up the ground here.

Seattle is a better bet at wildcard than TB or New Orleans.

Saints probably still won't make it, but at 4-5 they got themselves back in the conversation. Problem is they have tough games coming up after they play Oakland. By my count, they have to go 6-1 the rest of the way, and still have to play Atlanta again, Tampa Bay in a revenge game, plus at least one vs SF/@NYG is a loss.

The picture as of now:

AFC

#1 HOU (8-1)
#2 BAL (7-2)
#3 NE (6-3)
#4 DEN (6-3)
#5 IND (6-3) - 1st WC
#6 PIT (6-3) - 2nd WC

In the hunt:

SD (4-5)
MIA (4-5)
CIN (4-5)
TEN (4-6)

The race is actually looking pretty boring right now with a 2 game gap between the WC spots and the teams in the hunt, but things can change quickly.

NFC

#1 ATL (8-1)
#2 CHI (7-2)
#3 SF (6-2-1)
#4 NYG (6-4)
#5 GB (6-3) - 1st WC
#6 SEA (6-4) - 2nd WC

In the hunt:

MIN (6-4)
TB (5-4)
NO (4-5)
DAL (4-5)
DET (4-5)
ARI (4-5)

Looking very likely that the streak of 5 new teams on the playoffs each year is about to end.

Even with all the injuries I still think the Steelers will get into the playoffs. No doubt a very tough stretch coming up with the injuries and all. Outside of Indy who else is going to step up for one of those 2 WC spots at the very least?
The AFC East is a joke outside of New England. The AFC West has Denver and 3 bad to average teams. San Diego? too much turmoil. I think the Steelers and Colts both get to 10 wins and get in IMO.
I am hoping to win the Steelers win the division because I want no part of Denver right now.

Good thing we have an actual backup QB this year. Gotta pray that Cutler's not out for long though. At least Campbell will have more weapons than Hanie. Getting Jeffrey back soon would be huge.

I don't believe for a second that the Giants have a chance against the Saints. Even when they were 0-4 I was positive that our meeting would result in a loss.

Drew Brees must hate NY because we get SHREDDED every.....single.....time.

If the Steelers are going to win the division I think they'll have to win at least one of their upcoming games against the Ravens. Two losses would make it extremely difficult to finish ahead of them.

I agree with your statement that the Steelers are still heading for the playoffs.

Yep, Packers are the #2 seed currently if the replacement refs don't screw up that call.

I agree with that. 2 losses to Baltimore would put them out of the division title picture. Of course knowing this team they will beat Baltimore on Sunday night then lose to Cleveland.
