I want the Marlins to merge with the Mets like the Cleveland Barons/North Stars did

Wait, Miami isn't getting a lot of money, or a small amount of money is being moved around? I are confused.

I wonder if this attracts any managers that may have otherwise been disinterested in the Jays...

Why does he have a picture of Dodger Stadium as his background? Hmm, maybe he wants to come home?

Damn, feel bad for the guy. Demand a trade.

My friend mentioned Bonifacio's name in this trade too. Anyone hear that, or was he off on that?

Mathis over Arencibia and Marisnik over Gose. Excellent (j/k).

FLA reporter @JCRMarlinsBeat says the mystery minor-leaguer going to MIA is Anthony DeSclafani. He's a good one.

I look forward to going to the Skydome for the 2nd home game and not seeing a reduction of 25k people...

I'd agree with the Marisnick over Gose, slightly, but you can't go wrong there either way.

Sorry if this isn't the right thread for this.

I know there have been a handful of SP injuries for Toronto last year, don't know the severity of them. But, as of now, who are their top 5 SPs?

Livan and Hanley were still unproven young prospects when they became Marlins.
Hanley did all of his development with the Red Sox though. The fact that he stepped in and immediately won rookie of the year just proves it. Hernandez was the same thing, he was an established player who stepped in and made an immediate impact. He was fully developed by the time he became a Marlin. He didn't toil in the minor leagues developing his skill, and it is also highly probable he was not actually 21. Very good chance he fudged his age to come over.

DeScalfani is a Jays farmhand.

Jays on top by a healthy margin, but the Marlins shouldn't feel bad about this deal. They got good pieces and shed an ungodly amount of salary, but even with that, I think they could have gotten more

Drabek?

Drabek is coming back from Tommy John. The earliest he's expected is mid-season but you never know with these things.

BTW that's also Drabek's 2nd TJ surgery and the history is not good at all when it comes to recovering from the 2nd surgery.

It's odd that they didn't get D'Arnaud given that they gave Buck back as well...

You are a Jays fan? What happen to McGowan, Cecil and Litsch?
