Taylor was a good soldier for the three years he spent in the Kings organization, but as others have mentioned, guys who can put up good numbers in the AHL are common. For whatever reason known best to coaches, scouts, and GMs, he's just lacking some dimension an NHL goalie needs. I couldn't tell you what, since I barely saw him play, but every organization has guys like this.
