Cecil is most likely a reliever now.

McGowan is always hurt.

Litch is a FA.

What I find silly is that D'Arnaud and Sanchez are still Jays property. Any deal for Johnson and/or Reyes should've started with TDA/Sanchez or you hang up the phone.

Not bad at all. As long as they can stay healthy and Romero can rebound.

Excited for the Jays this year.

Yeah, I wasn't sure when he was due back. Let's hope he's more Chris Capuano and not like EVERYBODY else...

They probably weren't included because of all the money Toronto is taking on.

Or Jason Isringhausen who has had 3 TJ surgeries.

As a Jays fan I feel bad for you Marlins fans. You don't owe a shred of loyalty to such an incompetent ownership that abandons you like this.

Gotta think another trade is coming at some point with the catchers we have right now.

Looks like it was taken during one of the Marlins/Dodgers game. But yeah, there has been speculation even before this travesty occured tonight that Giancarlo's dream is to play for the Dodgers and that as soon as he is eligible for FA, he will sign there.

He didn't toil in the minor leagues developing his skill, and it is also highly probable he was not actually 21. Very good chance he fudged his age to come over.
Still, they first proved they belonged in the Majors as Marlins and they did it in their early 20s (regardless of Livan's disputed DOB). Still different from players that were already established major league players that were traded to other teams. the main points is that they were UNPROVEN by the time they arrived in Miami.

Yankees
Jays
Orioles
Rays
Red Sox

Way too early AL East predictions

4 of those 5 teams are legit good. Only team that doesn't scare me is the Red Sox. They are awful

It's now on Rays/ Orioles/ Yankees to respond with good moves on the market/block. So far, so good for Jays.

Jays might come in 3rd now.

And lol at the Marlins. They are comical. In a years time they went from possibly giving Pujols a gargantuan deal to now shipping everyone out and going back to a bottom 2 payroll.

All those pointless theatrics and new ugly uniforms to open their new stadium now they're back to the Pro Player penny pinching Marlins.

This time they didn't even wait to win a World Series before trading all their good players.

If I read it correctly this trade made their payroll go from 100M to 16M(Pre-Arb)

There's a difference between unproven and home grown. Unless your going to start saying Ichiro was homegrown by the Mariners or that Darvish was homegrown by Rangers.

No, because Ichiro and Darvis were already in their mid-20s when they were first signed by their respective teams. Livan and Hanley were still at the "prospect" age range when they started with the Marlins.

thankfully the tigs make the playoffs by winning the central, cuz the wild card is going to be a dogfight this year!

Jays are gonna be good!

Wrong about Livan. He played a year and a half in the AA and AAA affiliates of the Marlins. And I already told you that you were right about Hanley. But still, my point is he first established himself as a Major Leaguer as a Marlin.
