One day happy about power next pissed off after seeing our shore cabin.
Spent the day tearing out and throwing away 95% of the contents of our cabin.
Seaside Park and Heights look like a ****ing war zone. For Real
Some Hockey would go a long way right now.
I'm really sorry.
I know somebody personally, one of my best friends, who lives in Seaside Park. They (meaning her and her landlady) can't go back for eight months, is what she told me. I've seen pictures but likely NOTHING like you or my friend has seen or experienced. Again, I am so sorry. As a fellow Devils fan, as well as hockey fan, I'm here for you.
Hey guys, if you know anyone who needs ANYTHING, clothes, food, water, anything please pm me. I'm part of the relief effort in Sayreville and we have more donations than we know what to do with.

Thanks battlingBard56 as your friend has told you its ugly but getting better by the day. We were allowed in the park today with our own vehicle, but it looked like Seaside Heights folks were still being bussed in.
Its going to be some time before its the Seaside Park we knew. If they get gong on replacing the main gas line life may get back to normal sooner then originally thought.
The Islands curfew and streets are being watched over by Louisiana State Police and Jersey State Police. Great bunch and glad to be there helping people out.
Thanks Again!!! NOW Lets get the Hockey Going LGD!!!
Honestly, I don't think I've experienced anything worse then what I have on thursday and today...
I spent the day throwing out my grandparents memories, throwing out half of their belongings, and ripping out half the wall in the first floor of their house. I've never been more pissed at myself ever.
As others mentioned they're helping. I am too... Filling up semi trucks timorrow evening to be driven down to NJ. Hope it reaches nj and helps anyone that needs.
On Nov. 16, the former shelter in Morris Township reverts to an ice rink for a hockey fundraiser to benefit victims of Frankenstorm.
Coaches of the New Jersey Colonials will face off against New Jersey Devils alumni at 7 pm. See former Devils Ken Daneyko, John MacLean, Sergei Brylin, Grant Marshall, Bruce Driver and Dave Barr and Devils Coach Pete DeBoer.
So all those guys are gonna play!? Would be funny if Kirk Muller could play too. Maclean, Muller, Driver, Marshall, Dano vs Deboer, Stevens, Barr, and Brylin. Devils alums vs Devils coaching staff! Corey Schwab, and Mike Dunham in net!
Gas rationing ending at 6am tomorrow for North Jersey
I think this should be analyzed once everything is back to normal. I cant speak to how this played out closer to the "Ground Zero" areas, but farther away I think it was a waste of time, and net/net may have actually been slightly negative. I certainly didnt see a decrease in lines from pre/post, only noticed a decrease once people slowly were less reliant on generators.

JM- those different videos look like something out of Titanic, the water just creeping up and pouring in
Also, a lot of great stuff has been coming out of this FB page; people have been finding pictures or other belongings all around the shore area and posting pictures of the found items in this photo album and it has been able to connect dozens of people to their lost items (things like wedding photos, family photos, memorial plaques, etc)
edit: Also some significant progress has been made in Mantoloking near the bridge, in restoring the land that was initially there prior to the new inlet being formed
Add Devils right wing David Clarkson to the list of players committed to play in the Operation Hat Trick charity hockey game at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24. at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall.
