You guys are fun.

But, really, watching Byron Leftwich through is endlessly fascinating.

Refs sure did help. KC got screwed on a few calls for sure. Funny how much slack the replacement refs were getting, but these "real" refs have been quite god awful this year. Luckily, this time, it was in our favor.

This was a sad game, even when Ben was in. Although as you said, a win is a win, and let's hope that some of these guys can recover in the next week.

He's the Hideo Nomo of football.

I was at that game, expecting a blowout... It was ugly. Leftwich does not amuse me.

It was so weird seeing Ben just leave the stadium like that, with his wife. Maybe she was going into labor? It would be a weird coincidence i guess.

Leftwich not good but don't know as he's any worse than most other NFL backups. I would guess he sticks around because of his attitude.

"I hope Ben is healthy," Byron Leftwich said. "If not, I've got to be ready to go. I'll be in watching film tomorrow. It's a great opportunity if I get to play, but it's not about that. I must do my job."

"It's why they have me here," said backup Byron Leftwich.

The bolded in particular sound very Tomlin-esque.

Things not looking good for Ben...

Roethlisberger is "extremely sore" Tuesday morning and "hurting pretty bad," the source said. He is headed to get another MRI, which will give the team a better idea of the significance of the injury to his right shoulder.

Some good news? RT @MikeSilver:I'm told by very good source Big Ben's injury 'doesn't sound long term' though he's 'iffy' for sun. #Steelers

I don't expect him to play this weekend.

I give it 2 weeks before he plays 2nd Ravens game.

Pittsburgh Steelers ‏@steelers
"Ben has a shoulder sprain, and SC sprain, being evaluated, his participation is in the questionable category at this time" Coach Tomlin

Mark Kaboly ‏@MarkKaboly_Trib
SC sprain is when the collarbone popped in front/behind sternum

This mock draft isn't half bad Steelers wise.

http://walterfootball.com/draft2013.php

1. C.J. Mosley ILB Alabama
2. Chase Thomas OLB/DE Stanford
3. Shawn Williams S Georgia

So...in baseball news...the Marlins went from a $100+ million payroll to a $16 million payroll in the span of 3 1/2 months.

I don't know. Timmons is in his prime, and productive ILB's are relatively easy to find. OLB is the team's biggest need by far, IMO, unless they really think Worilds is the real deal. Also, a NT. I heard they cut Tuamu.

OLB
S/DT

CB/ILB/WR

is how I would rank their offseason needs.

I thought they released him from the main roster to sign a WR off the practice squad?

Larry Foote is 32 and will be 33 going into next season and apparently the Steelers were intent on picking Dant'a Hightower in April before DeCastro dropped to them.

This draft has a plethora of OLB/DE so to pick one in the 2nd would be ideal.

Ben is out this week according to Jay Glazer. Not surprising but still frustrating because of the timing (Raven's week and the home game against them).

Guys like Mendy and Brown will have to step up big time to help carry that side of the ball...

Oh wait...
