While we are on Baseball, has anyone gotten their $$$ back for unused playoff games for the Nats? They said 7-14 business days immediately after the season, and I've gotten nothing yet. Going to give them a call tomorrow.

He looks a little lost for sure. Ultimately was sort of surprised he was the starter. IMHO better for a rook to come off the bench. As much as I hate Crawford better for him to start.

I needed convincing to draft Beal. A shooter with good form who didn't make shots in college, that's a scary pick to make in the top 5. I hope he turns it around and stop being so tentative.

Seraphin looks like the future PF.

Please yes to that. I know their two best players are injured and if they were playing there wouldn't be the pressure on Beal and the rest but man....barring signing gilbert and getting jamieson/butler for those good couple of years thats it, sigh. The f'ing Bobcats beat them. Weak draft this year also. Yep as I told my dad today already draft pick rooting.

+1

Sad, but true and like you said it's a weak class. Can't this team ever tank in a loaded draft class?

The message the Marlins just sent to their fan (s?) and what free agent in their right mind would ever want to sign with that club.

Just finished watching the dvr delay. Definitely need to shuffle the starters. Sign of my tolerance to actually watch these games with hockey still a no go.

Ted's gotta be close to breaking his GM-firing cherry, right?

I mean, this is a complete mess. You've got two players on the entire team that can get to the rim (and one is hurt), no one that can shoot. no one on the team in the top 50 of rebounds per 48, and no backup point guard that's better than D-league quality.

Stupid Maryland. I understand the cash, but Big 10? They're never going to win anything there.

God I hate Anderson.

How many years would it take for them to break even on the MASSIVE buyout they would have to spend to get out of the ACC?

Depends on the money from the tv deal. They would supposedly get 24-25 million as opposed to the 14-17 they're getting from the ACC. The deal for the BIG10 is also going up in a few years when they renegotiate.

They also think they can earn it from selling boxes and tickets to the fan bases in the Big10. Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Penn State and others would sell way more tickets than Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Duke, and others.

And I'm sure those schools are salivating with the idea of a storied program like Maryland coming to town...

I cant believe MD thinks the grass is significantly bigger in the Big 10 enough to warrant a change of this magnitude. Blowing off the ACC isn't going to pull them out of the red, trust me. Their study was done with skewed optimistic best scenario data, by guys with ties to the Big 10. All of this thrust upon the board of regents with no time for a proper study.

Of course with ties to the Big 10 starting at the top, one can only imagine the kickbacks the clowns beating the drums for this dumb move are getting, and the board probably as well.

**** those ****heads for selling out 60 years of tradition for a quick buck. And our football team will probably still suck, and not get any significant TV time, and only face the losers in the Big 10, not the big names.

Puke on Purdue doesn't have that ring to it. Terps alum are ****ed.

Um...wont they get like $7+ million a year right of the bat for TV contracts in the Big 10?

It would be stupid to stay in a dying conference just to stick with tradition at this point. The ACC really sucks when you look at it as a whole, aside from a few good to ok basketball teams.

Im not really sure what the uproar is about.
