It's hard not to be excited about the Jays. They have legit one of the best teams in the entire MLB now. No team has holes and really the only one the Jays have is DH, which considering the firepower/pitching they have now you could probably stick McCoy there and not suffer too bad.

Best of luck to Jose Reyes. I sure hope his legs hold up on your turf.

Dudes gonna hit 25 triples a year @ Skydome though

Also I am AMAZED that Travis D'Arnaud wasn't in this deal.

Feel as if the #5 role as a DH or 1B needs to be filled.

Can we afford it? If we move JPA + Lind perhaps?

Villanueva won't be back next season.

The first crew makes wayyyyy less, but damn, it would be nice to have Adrian Gonalez. Obviously the first group makes more sense as a Jays fan, since we need pitching.
Wow are you kidding?

Crawford came off a career low year.
Beckett also came off a career low year, and is on the downside of his career.
Gonzalez is equivalent to Reyes for me in terms of skill and impact at their position.

No question about it... especially when you factor in salary commitments.

Where is Bonifacio? He'd be our first guy off the bench, and would be starting over Rajai

I'd like to retain some of our prospects. We don't need to go that big for lf.

I'll add I'd like them to take some advantage of the free agent market if they want to bring in more assets.

in terms of value?

A-Gon
Reyes
Johnson
Buerhle
Crawford
Beckett

I like our package better

The dodgers got a nice asset in A-GON, but really I wouldn't touch crawford and Beckett with a 10 foot pole, considering how much they get paid.

we're hoping the jays get away from turf. It's been discussed as a possibility for this coming year but that was over a year ago and hasn't really been mentioned since. I'd love to get away from the turf to protect our players.

As for d'Arnaud. Many of us are also very surprised by this. I think because of the dollars we took on we were able to keep him and our best pitching prospects.

Brandon Morrow
Anibal Sanchez
Mark Buehrle

Better believe it.

It makes zero sense for him to bat anything but 1st. Lawrie was not a good leadoff guy. Reyes is one of the best if not the best leadoff guy in baseball.

Check out Bonifacio's 2011 numbers.

Strong reason to believe he'll be starting in LF or at 2b come April.
