Good series to the Jets who knocked me out in four... One of which was the craziest game ever, first goal against me was penalty shot, with less than a minute left I scored 3 goals to tie it, went to double OT where I lost on a shorthanded breakaway when corvo coughed up the puck at the blue line ARGH!
In a total of 14 periods I managed to let up a total of 18 goals on 92 shots... Ward, who was pulled for part of a game, ended the playoffs with a save % o 79%... It was awful. He couldnt stop a beach ball, I think I probably over worked him in the regular season letting him play all 82 games...
But yeah, Pavelec stood on his head every game, 93% sv% with one shut out. early favorite for MVP if the Jets win it all.
I thought the hits stat was funny, in 14 periods the Jets racked up 55 hits, I racked up 113... my top four hitters, (Gleason, Iginla, E Staal and Ranger) ended up with 49 hits alone.
Time to let J Staal, Faulk, Larose and Nodl heal up for next season.
I played a CPU opponent, too. With the CPU's tendency to hit players like a freight train each time they get the puck I had to change my play style so they didn't get killed
On a side note, I got to play 2 periods before I lost Max Pac for 16 games and Kovy for six. Why are my best players made of glass?
Woo I just won game 7. Moving on to round 2. Havlat is hurt but only 3 more games. Bouchard went out right before the playoffs I guess.
