I just drafted a RW named Dustin Coaliacovo in (I think) the 2016 draft. Picked him first overall, and he came out as a 77 overall TWF with 4.5 green stars. After one year in the AHL, he is 85 overall and has a 99 rating for body checking.

Wow, Leblanc was an amazing acquisition. In a two games he has made 2 goals and 1 assist and has +3.

I'm trying to play all 25 years with one team for the first time right now. I'm in 2018-19 as the Red Wings... it may not look like it, but I did start with their original roster. I've made a lot of trades. I don't remember what place we finished in, but we had 48 wins this year. I haven't simmed the playoffs yet, but we're playing Anaheim in round one. Despite having a great team almost every year, I've never made it past the third round of the playoffs, which I've reached twice. Hopefully this lineup can get it done this year:

2018-19 Detroit Red Wings Lineup

Colaiacovo (85) - Nugent-Hopkins (91, A) - Kessel (88)
Jurco (84) - Miele (85) - Kassian (85)
Tatar (83) - Helm (79) - Pulkinnen (81)
Arvidsson (79) - Korpikoski (79) - Forgot this guy's name, but he is 78 overall

Gormely (88, C) - Doughty (90, A)
Despres (84) - Del Zotto (84)
Sekera (82) - Niskanen (83)

Lehner (85)
Marcoux (84)

Lehner was offered to me by Ottawa for a 2nd round pick and a 3.5 star prospect... took that deal and ran with it. Marcoux is a goalie I got from St Louis, who is 24 years old, but has 4.5 yellow stars for potential. I'm hoping he breaks out soon. Him and Lehner split the starts this season.

With my Senators team, I am 17-12-1, playing every game except 2 because the damn sim wouldn't stop :/ It's hard to get all my guys points playing 5 minute periods, which could hurt their growth but when I play 6 minute periods, the difference is amazing, I actually have time to play my 4th line. My lines are:

Silfverberg(80)-Spezza(89)-Michalek(84)
Latendresse(79)-Turris(82)-Alfie(84)
Greening(76)-Smith(76)-Neil(78)
O'Brien(72)-Regin(76)-Condra(78)

Cowen(83)-Karlsson(86)
Phillips(84)-Gonchar(84)
Methot(80)-Cumiskey(74)

Lehner(78)/Leclaire(80)

Traded Anderson to Phoenix before the season started for their 1st rounder(PHO is in 4th last place now .)
Washington offered me a 1st rouder for Bishop(78) and Lundin(74) so I accepted.
Signed Cumiskey(74) after trading Lundin.

Other teams have been offering me so many trades this year, I don't know why but usually when I sim seasons I get maybe 10-15 trade proposals. I will now get 1 every 2nd day sometimes 1 a day...

*Just lost Michalek for 2-3 weeks :/ Zibanejad(69) will take his spot.

I'm playing GM connected with a few friends. During season I acquired about 8-10 first round picks on 2013 draft. I also have Malcom Subban (G) and Dougie Hamilton (D). Any ideas who I should be going after on draft day, who will develop the best? Most of my picks should be on around 2-20 maybe one or two later ones. Is there any prospects I should try to get by trading Hamilton or Subban?

Ryan Murray just scored 34 goals and 76 points in 76 games for me with the Jackets this past season.

Thinking about acquiring a good Two-Day Defenceman to replace Wisniewski, any suggestions?

Anybody interested in joining a GM Connected league on PS3??? Few spots just opened up and it's playoff time! Random roster league. Minnesota, NYI, Detroit all available. Minnesota is 4th in the west, NYI clinched 8th in the east and Detroit is in 10th with a slight chance of a playoff spot. Very active league we even have our own league chat website. Let me know here or on PS3: Number1SensFan

Currently having a Chicago Be A GM in which i'm planning to play the whole season and playoffs (If i make them). I have sort of a Overpowered team (Or perhaps overpowered top 6 + top 4 & goalie)
but i'm just playing for fun so i don't really care about having an overpowered team. Line-Up & Points:

I. Kovalchuk [90] (20gp, 14g+11a=25p, +12) - J. Toews [90] (20gp, 7g+9a=16p, +13) - Z. Parise [90] (22gp, 14g+12a=26p, +12)
G. Landeskog [82] (21gp, 5g+8a=13p, +6) - V. Filppula [83] (20gp, 5g+9a=14p, +8) - P. Kane [86] (20gp, 7g+13a=20p, +8)
T. Pulkkinen [66] (20gp, 3g+2a=5p, +2) - M. Granlund [67] (20gp, 5g+4a=9p, +0) - A. Cogliano [80] (2g+4a=6p, -1)
E. Artyukhin [70] (12gp, 3g+1a=4p, +6) - J. Mayers [72] (20gp, 2g+1a=3p, +6) - A. Shaw [71] (15gp, 0g+1a=1p, +0)
D. Carcillo [76] (13gp, 2g+0a=2p, +5)

D. Keith [90] (20gp, 4g+14a=18p, +14) - B. Seabrook [86] (20gp, 2g+7a=9p, +14)
N. Hjalmarsson [84] (20gp, 3g+7a=10p, +10) - J. Wisniewski [83] (20gp, 4g+13a=17p, +11)
O. Väänänen [71] (7gp, 0g+0a=0p, +4) - C. Summers [74] (5gp, 0g+0a=0p, +0)

H. Lundqvist [91] (18gp, 12W, GAA1.87, SV% .932%)
A. Niittymäki [72] (3gp, 2W, GAA2.62, SV% .882

Also looks like Keith is a strong canditate for Norris, and Toews for Selke.

I finished my last year with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2014-2015 season and after failing to reach the Stanley Cup for the third straight year, I signed a 3 year contract with the New York Islanders.

M. Grabner (84) - *C* J. Tavares (90) - *A* P. Kane (89)
M. Moulson (82) - N. Mackinnon (76) - R. Nash (89)
R. Malone (81) - J Bailey (82) - F. Nielsen (80)
M. Martin (77) - J. Rissanen (79) - N. Zherdev (74)

*A* G. Reinhart (87) - K. Yandle (83)
B. McNabb (79) - T. Hamonic (80)
K. Lowe (77) - O. Hospelt (60)

H. Karlsson (78)
R. Dipietro (81)

Important Notes

- Patrick Kane was available in free agency and I signed him to a 7 year, 70 million dollar contract
- Traded Brad Boyes, Kyle Okposo and a second round pick for Rick Nash
- Signed Ryan Malone in FA
- Traded for Keith Yandle (his value was extremely low for some reason) and Nathan Mackinnon but I can't remember for who exactly. Mostly picks and prospects got me these two.
- Drafted a right winger by the name of Sven Lindberg first overall. 19 years old, 6'2, 204lbs SNP.He was rated 77 OVR with 4.5 stars. I'm very excited to play with him.

Not really overpowered since your bottom 6 forward make up for your top 6, but since you are playing each game you can role with 2 lines playing the 3rd line here and there.

Just began the 21-22 season with New Jersey. As of 3 games in we hold a record of 2-1-0. Nathan MacKinnon leads the team in goals with 3, and both Jonathan Drouin and Connor McDavid are tied for 8 points, the highest in the league.

At the 2021 draft, the New Jersey Devils held 3 first round picks; Colorado's (7th), Winnipeg's (20th), and their own (30th). The Colorado Avalanche won the draft lottery, moving up to the 2nd spot. Before the draft began, the New Jersey Devil's offered the 2nd overall pick, the 30th overall pick, and a 2nd round pick (60th) to the Buffalo Sabres in attempt to get the 1st overall pick to take Alan Cochrane. The Sabres rejected the trade and took Cochrane first overall (G, 68ovr, 4.5yellow) leaving the New Jersey Devils to take Toby Schneider second overall (C, 73ovr, 4yellow). The speedy centre has high upside, and while playing on the 3rd line of the Devils, has totalled 3 points (2g,1a) in 3 games.

With the 20th overall pick, New Jersey selected Sean Rourke (C, 62ovr, 3.5yellow). With the 30th pick, New Jersey selected Alexander Namestnikov (LW, 58ovr, 3yellow), and then with the 60th Neil Mackay (D, 61ovr, 2.5yellow).

The Devils are at home tonight against the Montreal Canadians (2-1-0). Tickets are still available both online and at the box office. The puck drops at 7:30pm(ET).

I started up a Devils dynasty. In the first year, I finished 11th in the East, but traded for the 2nd overall and 3rd overall picks, which netted me Nathan Mackinnon (60 overall 4.5 stars) and a goalie named Damien Ketlo (69 overall, 4.5 stars).

Hoping to make the playoffs this year.

New Jersey Devils Lineup 2013-14

Kovalchuk (90) - Henrique (84) - Vrbata (82)
Fleischmann (85) - Zajac (85) - Clarkson (80)
Josefson (76) - Lundh (77) - Osala (80)
Carter (73) - Zubrus (78) - Bernier (74)

Summers (84) - Larsson (85)
Greene (82) - Volchenkov (81)
Hunwick (76) - Fayne (79)

Lindback (83)
Hedberg (73)

Top Prospects

C Nathan Mackinnon - 60 overall, 18 years old, 4.5 yellow
D Jarred Tinordi - 77 overall, 21 years old, 4 yellow
G Damien Ketlo - 69 overall, 22 years old, 4.5 yellow
D Alexander Urbom - 74 overall, 22 years old, 4 yellow
LW Marcus Foligno - 75 overall, 22 years old, 3.5 yellow
D Martin Gernat - 60 overall, 20 years old, 4 yellow
LW Brett Bulmer - 70 overall, 21 years old, 3.5 yellow
D Damon Severson - 59 overall, 19 years old, 4 yellow

The New Jersey Devils have made two trades:

To Minnesota: Travis Zajac (36yo, 84ovr)
To New Jersey: 2023 1st round pick

To St.Louis: Neil Mackay (20yo, 61ovr, 2.5yellow) & 2022 2nd round pick
To New Jersey: 2022 1st round pick

I feel as if I won both trades. While the Minnesota pick is not for the upcoming draft, it was still a good thing to pick up considering Zajac was playing on the 2nd line in the AHL, and has maybe 2 years left. For the 2nd trade, Mackay was my 2nd round (60th overall) pick last year, but really has no spot on either the NHL or AHL team. So to send him and a 2nd and receive a 1st isn't that bad.

New Jersey now holds Nashville's, St. Louis' and their own pick in the 1st round. After half the season, Nashville sits at 11th overall in the league, St. Louis at 17th, and New Jersey at 6th.

I made a huge trade at the 2014 trade deadline:

New Jersey gets: Dustin Brown (84), Alec Martinez (84), and Trevor Lewis (73)

LA gets: Martin Gernat (60, 4 stars), E. Gelinas (74, 3 stars), Steve Bernier (74)

We're currently sitting in eight place, I hope the additions of Brown and Martinez help us out.

Edit: Made the playoffs as the eighth seed, and surprisingly upset Carolina in six games in the first round. In the second round, we took Buffalo to seven games, but lost.
