Brennan with his seventh already. The kid can shoot... Too bad he isn't better at defense.

Third goal was credited to JGL as his right point wrister deflects in. It deflects off a Bulldog down into the ice and looked like Girgensons missed a second deflection in front; no scoring change as of now; assists to Porter and Flynn.

GOAL! 4-0 Amerks! On a 3-on-2 counter attack, Brennan buries the cross-ice pass from the low right circle; assists to Foligno and Rankin. Goalie change coming now for HAM, as Mayer's pulled and Darling enters.

11:27 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - The #Amerks lead is now 3-0 at 12:35. Gauthier-Leduc wrister from the right point deflects in.

11:28 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - The goal could go to Zemgus Girgensons, who established position at the right of the crease after digging the puck out of the RW corner.

11:29 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - His team outshot 7-2 and outscored 2-0 in the 2nd period, #Bulldogs coach Sylvain Lefebvre calls timeout after the goal.

11:33 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - Great 3-way passing off the fast-break rush and T.J. Brennan hits empty net for a 4-0 #Amerks lead at 15:14. Marcus Foligno, Evan Rankin.

11:33 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - That's it for Robert Mayer in goal. Scott Darling, just signed to a PTO, is in for the #Bulldogs. Mayer: 22 shots, 18 saves.

LS: End of the 2nd - Rochester 4 Hamilton 0 - Can the Amerks keep this...nevermind - going to keep my mouth shut and not say another word!! LOL! SOG - 2nd - Rochester 10-4 - lead 22-20 after 2.

He's certainly not afraid to shoot it either. He had 45 SOG coming into the game, which ranked him third in the league.

Even so, he's still a better bottom-pairing offensive/PP specialist option than MAG was at least, should Ruff decide to give him an extended look in the NHL. Better shot, more physical.

If MA Bergeron can find a way to actually play defense, I hold out hope that Brennan can too. Being very, very good at a skill can lead to at least specialist paychecks at the next level.

Yeah -- he engages. He doesn't always keep track of his man, but he's not completely and totally avoiding any contact back there. That alone is an improvement on MAG's game.

FYI Darling, the new goalie for HAM, is on a PTO; has played twice with Wheeling-ECHL this year and was a college teammate of Flynn at Maine.

Girgensons getting a shot at center? Nice. Good to see them starting to work him in down the middle now that he has some pro games under his belt.

Those were the lines tweeted by Amerks account; ended up being wrong. OP has right lines, ZG still at LW.

12:01 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - #Amerks go right to the PP as Jarred Tinordi gets a delay of game minor 15 seconds into the 3rd.

12:02 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - Dogs relief goalie Scott Darling passes his first test. Stops a T.J. Brennan 1-timer on the PP and then 2 rebounds swats by Evan Rankin.

12:06 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - 10,649 is attendance at Copps for Bulldogs school day vs. the #Amerks.

12:07 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - #Amerks G David Leggio reads the play perfectly and stops a point-blank shot by Brendan Gallagher off centering pass by Michael Bournival.

12:07 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - From the stat department: T.J. Brennan's goal in the 2nd period was his 7th, giving him the team lead. Brennan is also tied with OKC rookie Justin Schultz for the #AHL lead in goals by defensemen.

LS: In the other morning AHL game - Adirondack wins in Manchester 4-1 - quick game there - must not have been TV coverage - less timeouts etc.

Foligno-Varone-Rankin
Girgensons-Porter-Flynn
Sundher-Adam-Mancari
Tarnasky-Schofield-Roy

McNabb-Pysyk

He's not really an offensive player at this point. He's playing well overall, but hasn't become a factor in the offensive zone.

12:15 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - Mark Mancari's 500th #AHL game has a strange stat line so far: No points but 4 minors (3 roughing, one trip). 12:03 left, #Amerks still 4-0.

12:16 - Kevin Oklobzija@kevinoDandC - School-day has also helped the world's scientists. Girls can scream louder -- FAR, FAR LOUDER -- than boys.

LS: In the other morning AHL game - Adirondack wins in Manchester 4-1 - quick game there - must not have been TV coverage - less timeouts - not many fights - penalties.

Great shift from Girgensons-Porter-Flynn/McNabb-Pysyk. Everything but scoring.

Flynn has settled in nicely in November -- 5-game point streak (4-4-8). He's been finding seems and the puck is finding him.
