I think the Swiss league would be the best for his development. A lot of quality NHLers have signed there so far and it would give him the highest quality of competition to face outside of the KHL.

I think it would be fun if Fowler joined the Finnish league. On Vatanen's old team. Sort of like a trade.

Fasth with 94.17 SVS% and 1.68 GAA in 12 games for weak and lowly Tingsryds.

Fasth's current contract with Tingsryd has expired, and due to some pain in a hip and a groin, he won't be extending his deal (at least not for the time being). He will undergo an examination on thursday to determine how long he'll be out.

Bonino still tearing it up with 19 points in 7 games, although Neumarkt's 6 game wining streak just ended. They're 6-1 since Bones arrived, 3-3 prior to that.

And here's Beleskey's goal against Cardiff (8 points in the last 4 games for him):

You don't pronounce the H, but it's not pronounced as the English word "Fast" either. The "a" in it sounds differently."Fust" would probably be more accurate.

They say his name in the beginning of the video below.

I'd say it's a little bit more like "Faust", from what it sounds like.

Faust is actually a theatre play and is pronounced the same in both Swedish and English.

http://www.howjsay.com/index.php?word=faust

That's not how Fasth's name is pronounced.

Edit: Nevermind...

http://sv.forvo.com/languages-pronun...lly/F/page-13/

Scroll down to the word "Fast" and press the play button next to it and there you have it.

Interesting. Fäst sounds a little like English fast. Although maybe more like fest(er).

If Fasth sucks I guess we can make alliteration with **** Fasth.

That first link says it like "Fowst", and I meant Faust with a "long a" type sound. Kind of like how you pronounce Paul.

Maybe "Fawst" or "Fahst", makes more sense? Basically I'm just saying that it's not really "fust", or "fast", but kind of in between... I'm not disagreeing with you on anything, just that it's not really "fust".

Didn't you have a swedish flag underneath your avatar before? Now I can understand if "Faust" makes more sesne to you

I hope you pressed on "Fast" and not on "Fäst" though

I clicked on both. I know you meant fast for Fasth, but I was curious what the other one sounds like.

Yeah I did, but I'm not actually swedish, nor do I speak swedish. I made my username in honor of Hampus Lindholm (I combined Hampus with Hampe (his nickname)), so I put a swedish flag there. I'm actually of German heritage, so I decided to change it.... /back on topic

I'll probably end up pronouncing Fasth like Fath, anyways, as I have a slight lisp (lisp pride! MacKinnon has one too), so it doesn't really matter to me.

Beleskey started racking up some points, finally.

Anyone seen Sbisa play at all?

Szymon Szemberg ‏@Sz1909_Szemberg
Cam Fowler is cleared to play for SWE tier-II club Södertälje. Carl Hagelin and Matt Read are playing there already. #NHLDucks

Hagelin has 8 GP, 5G and 6A
Read has 11 GP, 4G and 12A

Fowler should really tear things up in this league.

It's Allsvenskan, Patrik Berglund and Anze Kopitar are scoring at PPG rate in the same league. Fowler, as a defenseman, will likely be a tad below a point per game. On the plus side, Hagelin and Read have been great for Sodertalje, so hopefully Fowler will fit right in. The rumor has been circulating the last few days, but I have yet to see anything official.

See. We didn't have to trade Bobby and a 1st in order for Cam to play with Matt Read.

Watching read and Fowler light it up together is just going to make us value him more.

Sbisa, Gibson, Ryan, Etem for Read, Walker, 4th.

Sodertalje and Cam Fowler are close, but nothing is done yet explains the team's GM. But if a deal gets done, Nicklas Grossmann will also become one of his teammates. Sodertalje announced the signing of Grossmann today.

http://www.expressen.se/sport/hockey...las-grossmann/

If the SEL doesn't start to let in NHL'ers soon, the two teams who ends up in the qualification round could get in trouble trying to avoid demotion to Allsvenskan. That's of course if Sodertalje, Djugarden, Vasteras etc still have NHL'ers at that point. But unfortunately it's sure starting to look that way.

Good for him, he needs to be playing. I would have preferred it was in a better league though.

Bonino now has 21 points in 8 games. Sbisa has 4 goals and 5 assists in 16 games, he's picking it up offensively after only recording an assist in his first 6 games.
