Not really NHL news, but what do you think... would any NHL goalie get fooled by this move?

Yeah, Huhtala isn't exactly well known for his wits. That's not a knock on him by any means though, he's a good player, but that didn't look intentional to me either.

Speaking of Blues, Teemu Ramstedt. I really think we should offer him a two-way contract and try him on the Aeros, before anyone else does. He always had the potential to score goals, but now he finally seems to have gotten his head together. He's been a beast in FEL this season, and this is against much tougher opposition than usually due to the lockout. He's currently [4th in FEL points, and that's in a team which by no means is stacked. Along with another Teemu (Rinkinen), they have helped Blues to punch above their weight, although recently they have dropped in standings (regressing to the mean? ).

Of course, my words should be taken with a pinch of salt, considering Espoo Blues is my team of choice from FEL, but still, I don't think he'd flop over the pond.

It's his signature move and he has done it before so it was completely intentional. I can remember he has failed atleast once doing that.

Yeah that's true. If you start to use that kind of move often I don't it works very well. Maybe "signature move" is not the right word when you do it once every two years but I haven't seen anyone else do it so I call it Huhtala's move.

LOL - it's happening in real life.

EDM fan: Oil Need a physical, puck moving Dman to replace Ryan Whitney who will likely walk (limp?) during free agency. Sharks need young players to replenish their terrible prospect pool. Both sides have something the other needs.

SAN fan: We traded Setoguchi, Coyle, and a first to get him. Unless you can blow that out of the water, it's not happening.

EDM fan: Setoguchi has been, for the last three seasons, a 40 point player at best, and only hit north of that once, when he hit 65. Coyle is an average prospect. The first round pick was 28th Overall. even if he did get much better, which he did, I don't see how it warrants any of the top 4, save for Yakupov who is totally unproven in the NHL.

EDM fan 2: lol Since when is Burns physical?

Nice compliment though by SAN fan:

Quote:
I'd definitely take Suter over Burns in a vacuum, and I'd definitely take Suter, Setoguchi, Coyle, and Phillips over Burns. Good move by Minnesota, but I don't know if they could have known that Suter would sign with the Wild when they traded Burns.

Hey, what's Latendresse up to? I am assuming this lockout won't help his conditioning.

He assists to his gf's theater piece and he's arguing with people about the lockout on Twitter.

He did play some hockey games for charity and was very good.

In case Detroit prospect Riley Sheahan DUI wasn't WTF enough, there's more to the story now...

Quote:
The Detroit prospect — a first-round pick in 2010 — was caught using a fellow Detroit prospect’s ID while wearing a purple Teletubby costume upon being arrested for “super-drunk” driving in Grand Rapids on Oct. 29.

Sheahan, 20, was reportedly using Brendan Smith‘s drivers license (Detroit’s first-round pick in 2007, who is 23).

It truly is. Plus, all free agents bow down to the Motor City. They are all beside themselves to go there.

Giving your ID to a minor so he can get completely wasted in a Teletubby outfit.
