I go with the Sharks. Simply because christian Ehrhoff is a homegrown guy from my local hockeyteam.
Second would be Ottawa because I think they simply deserve it for recent years' performances. Plus I would like to see a canadian winner once in a while.

For that reason my third take would be the Oilers...

Buffalo, because they've got Sparty Ryan Miller in net and I pretty much have no interest in watching now. I kind of hope Ottawa wins because I picked them at the start of the season, and I also picked Emery to backstop them there because Hasek would be "hurt". And I would like to be right some more. Also, Ottawa plays Wings hockey, if the Wings were young and fast and big.

I'm not going to be watching it that closely, but I hope it's Buffalo.

Ducks/Sabres finals would be win-win for me...
i like any team w/ Teemu or Paul Kariya, and i've been a closet ducks fan since their first season. i also want to see Ryno win one for his fellow Spartans, so either one of those two teams works for me.

From an entertainment point of view, I'd go with Ottawa and either Colorado or San Jose. I think a Ducks-Sabres final would be ratings hell. And probably boring has hell too. Ottawa and San Jose would be very exciting - tons of scoring chances and big hits.

I've always wanted Ottawa to reach the finals, so I see no reason to stop.

In the west it's harder because I'd rather we're still in it , I personally like Jumbo Joe so I guess I'm hoping for SJ. But I think Edmonton's gonna take them out.

haha, i said win-win for me... f the ratings. but i seriously doubt it'd be boring. buffalo is one of the best skating (not to mention highest scoring) teams, anaheim will put on an offensive show if you let them; they had to dumb things down to play/beat the lames, but that should change from here out.

Wouldn't you rather see Heatley and Chara and Spezza and company play against Thornton, Cheechoo, Marleau and company? That's the matchup that would be most entertaining, I think. When you put two defensive teams together in the finals, they tend to produce ugly hockey, even if they do have skilled offensive players. See: 2003 finals. And 1999 finals also.

Looks like 50% of those votes actually come from Red Wing fans.

I'm not really cheering for anyone although there's a couple teams I don't want to see win. I made Carolina my pick.

the hockey fan in me would love that matchup... well the hockey fan in me will love any matchup cuz no matter who's playing, when they're done, everyone is done until september, and i go crazy until then.
BUT like i said, Teemu's my co-favorite player, and Ryno's an MSU guy like me (i know.. Horcoff, Brindy, Smoke, and Rem are too, but Miller's my boy) so that's what i'm pulling for.

I honestly don't care. The two Western teams that I'd hold grudges with (Anaheim and Colorado) are nothing like what they were in the past personnel-wise. It's harder to dislike those teams now. Out East, I'd like to see someone other than Jersey get to the Finals but I don't dislike the Devils. It would be cool to see a first timers final of Ottawa and San Jose...the Sens are in trouble though.

Bah, every team that I care for even remotely for has already been eliminated But if you twist my arm, maybe Ottawa. But I'm already starting to focus on the next season.

I want a Canadian team to win the cup, so I guess I am rooting for an Ottawa /Edmonton finale

So Im rooting for the Sabres pretty hardcore now. I KNEW theyd make a big splash in the playoffs because they didnt get much press and even when they did, it was still underplayed. They're one of the most hardworking teams and flying under the radar like they were is dangerous for others. I remember most fans of other teams on this board were saying Philly in 6 and I just had to laugh. With a team that was playing great hockey, and had killer special teams throughout the season, they were sorely underrated.
