Would you care to take a look at Alexander Delnov also ? The kid is still a big unknown but I keep hearing how good he is and everything... And he made a great contribution in his first game, scoring a goal and an assist !
Heard he had great wheels, awesome work-ethic and good hands !
So if you had some infos and opinions on him, it would be greatly appreciated !

Haven't seen him play, so until then, I don't have any opinions.

i hope McColgan gets a contract from NYR. he needs to get signed.
Eh. I'd wait a bit to see what he can do this season. Should be interesting to see how he performs in the Memorial Cup when all spotlights will be on him.

Through two games he's been hit and miss.
Was fantastic in game one of the season, was very average in game two.
I'm very happy to see Driedger on this list. I (as a Sens fan) had very little knowledge of him when he was drafted and didn't know what to expect from him in the future.
I was always a McColgan supporter here in Kelowna, and he has fantastic skill, great vision and passing. If he avoids the stupid penalties he takes far too often he will do well. It was time for him to move on and I wish him the best, but he has a lot to learn about being a skilled player first and play to those strengths and avoid the stupid chippy, diving, whinnyness he gained a reputation for over the past season.
One game he will get 3 points and look fantastic and the next he will take 4 cheap minor penalties that kills the team. If he puts that behind him he will be a huge asset in any run for the cup.
And a nice list as usual, but I think you are selling the BC div rather short and I understand you are from the prairies but...? 2 players on the entire list from BC.

Yeah, wasn't a terribly huge fan of him and still am not the biggest one. But that doesn't mean that he's not a key player to watch this year, which he is.

Can I get your thoughts on him?
Needs to work on his skating, positioning and discipline. Has some other good tools, like size, physicality and shot, but is still a pretty raw player. I don't think he should have been a 1st round pick.

I'm not selling anything short. This isn't a shot against the BC division. It's just a list of players I am looking forward to watching/following this season.
That's not me saying the BC division is weak or doesn't have any talent.
Fair enough, I interpreted the list wrong - thinking it was your thoughts of the "best 25" in the dub ,and Im sure if I made a list it would be skewed heavily towards the BC div.
Hey RS, I am planning to attend a lot more Hitmen games this year and I am really intrigued by Jake Virtanen, could you tell me a bit about what kind of game he plays?

Has speed, can play very physically when he wants too. Has a great shot with a great release. Definitely has a goal scorers touch. A dynamic player, or atleast he will be once he develops a bigger comfort level in the WHL.
Didn't really know where else to put this, but I'll throw it in here. What do you think about the chances of these Hurricanes getting drafted this year and when would they go?
Jay Merkley - C
Macoy Erkamps - D
Jamal Watson - W
Axel Blomqvist - W
Really like Merkley and Erkamps and I would be surprised if they didn't get drafted. Blomqvist and Watson have both shown flashes at points so I think they have a chance, albeit not sure how good of one. Any responses would be appreciated!

Have had the chance to see them several times.
I think my favorite of the 4 is definitely Jamal Watson. He's got elite speed, pretty good hands and plays physical. Just needs a more consistent effort.
I would say:
Erkamps - 4th or 5th round pick
Watson - 4th or 5th round pick (I would rate him a bit higher)
Merkley - 7th round pick
Blomqvist - 7th round pick, maybe undrafted
Thanks RS, really looking forward to seeing him play in the Subway Super Series. Nice honor for him to be the Captain for one game. A Ryan Clowe type would be a great fit on what it looks like what the Jets org is trying to build.
I would love to read your thoughts of him at the end of the year.
Have seen him 3-4 times, including live over the weekend. I'm a fan. Kid skates hard, plays aggressive, is super hard to knock off the puck and has great offensive skills to play with.
Russian factor hurts him, but I wouldn't be shocked if several teams are keeping close tabs on him as a potential late-round value pick.

I'm sort of confused, are you talking about Alexander Delnov from the T-Birds? Because he was picked by Florida...

Yeah I think you missed on that one... Delnov was picked by Florida last draft, they even had to take a timeout because the kid wasn't in the NHL draft database...
Thoughts on Travis Brown. Hes on a deep blue line but stood on his own last year when Reilly was out with an injury. T6 is scoring for dmen. Also hows his defensive game.
