No, that's Minute Maid Park.

A ****ing hill with a flagpole on the field of play with a 436-foot center field wall? I still to the day can't comprehend it. The Crawford Boxes in the left, the bricks/bullpen and yellow lines in left center, and the short wall in right really aggravate me. What a maze and a disgrace.

Well, we won't have to see it very much anymore. I'm ok with it except the hill though, that is ****ing horrible, agreed. I guess I like the Crawford boxes from when I've played MLB video games, pull it all day into those seats. I once hit over 100 homers with Sammy Sosa.

USMNT ties Russia 2-2! Diskerud with the equalizer deep into stoppage time. Very exciting game.

Now back to doing work

Wonder how many franchises MLB's going to let Loria kill before they have enough.

Nice tie by the USMNT but it was kind of flukey, our defense is still horrific.

Yeah, this guy hops from town to town, yet Cuban is blacklisted by the good ole boys, when the hell is Selig going to quit / die? It won't matter anyway, they'll just appoint someone just like him.

Alright, time for Theo and Jed to make their next impactful move to add the the already solid pickups of Soler and Rizzo. I am thinking a Nolasco/LoMo deal would be smart, and with the farm system on the upswing and Miami in for a culture change/firesale, they can get a solid deal.

Morrison is 24 and making very little money. They aren't going to give him away. Nolasco seems a bit more realistic but I'm not sure the Cubs have the prospects/players Miami would want for him.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Knowing Loria, he might give him away to anyone willing to take on Nolasco's contract. Maybe throw him a AAAA or two caliber of player that he could force into an everyday role?

I guess Bradley scored as well. Went to grade and high school with him. Never thought he would be this good.

We gave him away to them, should get first dibs. Maybe something like Adrian Cardenas and Jay Jackson, two dirt cheap guys to fill roster spots.

No thanks on Nolasco. WHIP going up and K/9 going down the past few years. He's living off one good year, 2008.

Nobody is saying to trade a valuable prospect for him, just some filler in the case that the Marlins want to dump him. He can be our 5th starter.

200 innings and a mid-4 ERA is fine for this team for the next 2 years.

Kyuji Fujikawa, Japanese closer, trying to get an MLB contract. Japanese relievers usually come over here and have amazing first years, why not bring him over and give it a shot. Let's say he ends up putting up a microscopic ERA of 1.50 or something as closer like these funky guys usually do. That should bring back a decent prospect.

Check him out:

Bradley is the future of USA soccer as Dempsey and Donnovan start to fade. They desperately need to find someone to take over for Howard. This is probably his last World Cup cycle. He'll be 35 in 2014.

Yeah, it's really unfortunate that Guzan never panned out. He needed to go somewhere and get 1st team action. Sitting on Villa's bench didn't do him any good all those years.

Even though I do enjoy watching soccer, I can't say I follow it nearly as intensely as a lot of your or even close. However, I can still appreciate a goal like the one below.

Damn.

Thats a good shot if he's facing forward and hitting that off of a dead ball situation.

eh, truth be told, I just can't get into soccer, and believe me.... I've tried. Oddly enough, it was also the sport I played the most growing up organizationally, as I probably played for a good six or seven years, even more then I played baseball.

Just not my cup of tea.

Which is odd as I have never played hockey, and yet it's now my favorite sport despite being a relative latecomer to the game, having only really followed it since college when I just happened to organize a fraternity trip to Indianapolis to watch a USHL game, which instantly caused me to fall in love with the sport.

Brandon McCarthy cleared to resume baseball activities. Glad he's ok.
