Bears-49ers game will be fun. Two backup QBs with two great run defenses against teams that are going to be hoping to run a lot. It won't be pretty or high scoring but I think it'll be an awesome hard-fought game. It's going to come down to turnovers so the Bears gotta protect the ball and keep forcing turnovers as they've done all year.
Everything I have read says it's likely that Smith will get the start...
I don't think the Bears will be nearly as conservative as some people think. Jason Campbell isnt' Caleb Hanie....he has over 70 starts in the NFL.
I agree it should be the normal offense. But until we see it.....Well, me personally, the only images in my head are the check downs, I believe in Campbell; I think he is a great backup but he needs to play aggresive like Cutler to have success.

They were playing in a monsoon. Matt Schaub had 95 yards passing and 2 INT's that game. Campbell actually had the most yards of any QB in that game (97).
yea cutler had had so much success with his aggressive approach, a passer rating around 80 and injured each of the past 3 seasons. we need the anti-cutler(a good, reliable qb) instead of a mercurial putz who's 100x more likely to loser you the game then win it.

The last 3 years, the Bears are 31-19 in the regular season with Cutler (10-5, 7-3, 7-2).
Cutler has been our best QB in a long time. I understand the beef with him because of some of his decision making and injury problems, but really, he is far from the major problem of this team. That start and ends with the offensive line.
