I love this thread! So many memories coming back to me. Two names that belong here but not yet mentioned Al Secord and Beach(Allen Pedersen). I was flummoxed when Secord, a player in that was a quintesential Bruin was traded for a guy that was not. I used to lose my mind when Beach would score a goal every few years!
He is still active and plays in the SEL team closest to me. His younger brother Anton plays there aswell. Anton is 11yrs younger and share PJ's style and heart for the game.

Travis Green was always one for me. I used him as an example for my son, for what hard work can do, since he didn't start playing until he was 9 (ancient, it seems in youth hockey), and that's when my son started.
Doug Keans. Was brought here from LA as the backup, but esentially ended up splitting the netminding duties with Pete Peeters (and eventually Pat Riggin), and played very solidly. Was also a solid backup to Reggie Lemelin in his last year here until he became expendable with the acquisition of Andy Moog.

Pretty close to who I liked....add Brent Hughes, Johnny McKenzie, Brian Rolston, Mike Knuble, Don Awrey, Rob DiMaio, Andre Savage, Lyndon Byers, Darren Van Impe and the great Hawgie Hockey.
FTW!
I was a huge Markwart fan. Shame he couldn't stay healthy. Others would include Tim Taylor, Ken Belanger, Travis Green, Rob Cimetta, Wes Walz, Andrew Alberts and I'm a big fan of Ference the hockey player.
I was at this game. My friend and I went in on an impulse, walked up and bought first row balcony seats. Great seats, great game. One of the most enjoyable games I've attended in my adult life.

Someone who knows how to work tech magic should send along a copy of this thread to Gumby.
Really liked Bobby Joyce in his short time.... Dean Chynoweth was another guy....Loved Ken Belanger...True lunatic on the ice who intimidated...Brent Hughes deserves some props for taking beating after beating as well standing up for his 'mates. Loved Dave Reid and Dave Poulin...Liked Thelven and Thelin....

Awesome to watch that again, btw
Thanks guys...
I remember watching that game on tv...just got directTV installed and it was one of the first Bruins games I got to watch and tape (VHS )
Both Belanger and Baumgartner made names for themselves on the Island before they came to the Bruins. I remember being psyched for Belanger, but lukewarm about Bomber because him and Vukota were absolutely vicious to play against. Couldn't stand him on the Isles. But, he won me over that day. Just so tenacious against Tinordi who was bigger and clearly not as winded.
Also loved DiMaio, Hughes, Featherstone, Van Impe, and Odgers
I don't know that I have any new additions: Rob DiMaio, Don Marcotte (his parents lived on our street when I was a kid), PJ, Dave Poulin (could do it all), PJ Stock, Shawn Thornton, and Chris Kelly.
yes me and a few others.. just for this hit alone he's a hero...
Loved Ken Belanger for that. Loved him. He was right out of the movie "Goon", anything he hit or punched, was hurt. Including Bob Probert. Hurting Bob Probert, who lacked a properly functioning human nervous system, or even making him mad, that's saying something. Someone tried to tell me Ulf was faking there. Yeah, right. Slow it down and you can watch his stupid ****in face bounce of the ice like a piece of meat. He was completely ragdolled.
I'm w/ those who said Dave Reid, Randy "45 years is dust, man!" Burridge, and Micheal "watch your thumbs" Thelvin. Kasper should be remembered for more than benching Neely. You have to love a guy like John Carter. Someone mentioned Jamie Huscroft, that's a pretty good one, too.
