I'm considering extending the Thanksgiving sim period from 3 days to 5 days. I'm sure a few of us will be gone all weekend. It'd be unfair for a GM to miss so many games, especially right before the playoffs because they're away.

That sounds good for me too. Even though I'm in Canada and will not be away all weekend, I am going to see Neil Young Saturday night, so I won't be online at all.

I'm going down to Vancouver from sunday-wednesday for high school soccer provincials. I have to coach during the day, but I'm going to bring my xbox with me so I can hopefully hook up to a tv that has the proper output and play GM Connected at night while the boys are asleep. I'll update you guys to let you know what's up, I really don't want to put my season in the hands of my CPU

just got done completely dominating pittsburgh, i'm talking outshot him 23-9, had 11:35 on attack to his 2:26. lost FOUR TO ONE. including one goal that Weber passed directly into his net. because you know, Vokoun is top notch and Price is junk...

Yeah you completely dominated that game and should have won. But don't disrespect vokoun he has been playing well for me as of late. Also for the 1st time in my life I actually capitalized on my scoring chances but again you should have won

I know there has been a discussion on increasing period lengths but why not increase them to 6? I know that isn't drastic but it adds 3 mins to each game, which allows teams to roll all 4 lines which gives 4th lines a bit more importance. It will also stop teams from rolling their top lines constantly because they will get fatigued and slow down. *cough*Washington*cough*

It will barely make a difference for me, it would have to be 7 or 8 atleast. You're discounting the speed and endurance of my top line, and the fact that offensive attributes such as Ovechkins shot and Backstroms passing remain lethal no matter how long they play.

yeah for sure, but i'm also talking about other teams to. And the increase of just one min to each period will result in more shots and what not. Also how the hell does your 1st line not die from a heart attack during games???

The issue is EAs fatigue effect just isnt drastic enough. Players with 90+ speed such as Ovi at 0% still play like 80 speed, and he never even gets that far down.

I ****ing HATE shootouts.. just lost in the shootout AGAIN to Dallas after playing a really hard fought game that was about even in chances (though i had 10 more shots than him) only to lose heartbreakingly in the shootout.. ugh
