I have almost as many OT/SP Loses as I do wins. Ridiculous.
13-20-11 just think, if those 11 games would've went the other way.. I would be 34-20 and in a playoff position..
next season... next season..
I find it ironic that we are both sucking this season after we both made the playoffs last year, and we made a big trade that was supposed to work out for the both of us. I'd say the individual players worked out for us (yes even Brown has somewhat worked out for me) but for some reason from a gameplay standpoint we have both sucked.
These guys are Franchise Players. They'd almost never move in real life. They're also part of the identity of the team. If one of you quits the league and trades away your franchise players, its going to be a lot harder to fill that team up. I'm not saying you CANT trade these players away, i'm just saying that in order for me to APPROVE the trade, its going to take a massive overpayment. Just like in real life.
lolwut? if im Montreal I jump on that in a heartbeat. Robbery IMO.
I ****ing HATE shootouts.. just lost in the shootout AGAIN to Dallas after playing a really hard fought game that was about even in chances (though i had 10 more shots than him) only to lose heartbreakingly in the shootout.. ugh
I feel ya man, I hate that **** deciding really important points. I've lost like 8 damn points in the shootouts already, which is the difference between fighting for a playoff spot and battling for head of the conference.
Chicago is not doing well. After going on a 10 game win streak i'm now 3-3-4 in my last 10. Two of those wins have been in OT. I'm so inconsistent in this league. I feel like i have stretches where nobody can beat me and then right after that i struggle to get a win.

Let's not start another argument about this, but 50 points in the West gets you 8th, while 55pts in the East gets you 8th, so suck it
Yeah last time I checked all the division leaders in the west had like 64+ pts while only 1 the East had 60+ pts. Winning a division/winning the conference is a lot harder in the west.

but making the playoffs is harder in the east honestly let's just agree that there are pro's and con's of being in both conferences...

totally agree with you, but its heartbreaking to have stricter codes on those kinda trades when you see what Rick Nash was traded for (real life)
Sorry boys, I'm about to put to rest this whole east vs west debate.
It's really easy to figure out thus far in the season. You need to look at games with east vs west teams, and to do this you simply take a look at which conference has more average points/gamePlayed as any inter-conference games wouldn't transfer points between conferences. Yes this doesn't eliminate 3 point games, but the frequency of those are likely similiar so I'm not bothering with that.
Western conference:
764 points
695 games played
1.099 points/game
Eastern conference:
786 points
717 games
1.096 points/game
As you can see, our conferences are actually dead even, the western conference edges out the east by less than 1%.The west is top heavy with 3 of the 4 best teams but also 7 of the worst 10 teams.
Yeah but there aren't any "attitude problems" in a videogame. Players don't demand trades and bring down their value.
I made this league in August because I saw how insane all these armchair GMs were going to be with their trades and I knew their leagues would crumble.
I have to be stricter and different than other leagues so The Bluth Company doesn't end up like the other dozen leagues on HF

This is easily the best GMConnected league on HFboards. Don't change a thing. The recipe for success is already in play here!
NYR have a lot of games, hoping the simulation is late tomorrow night because I got a lot to play... My schedule the past two days have been crazy, to say the least.
I am sorry!
I'll be on around 9:15PM tomorrow to bang out some games against anybody who can. If ANYONE can play around 12:15-6PM tomorrow, I can be on but will be busy doing something else, so PM me on HFBoards, let me know when we can get this down tomorrow.

Can ya play now?
I work till 5 tomo and then will be at the WHL superseries game after 6, so unless we can fit the game in there I guess it'll have to be simmed.
Oilers finally starting to get some injured players back... Korpikoski has returned, Voracek is back, and Hemsky is back in 9. Honestly I think I played better without them haha.
2-4-1 this block. Arrrgggghhhh!!! 4 straight losses...
On another note, checking is horrible in this game. There is no way someone with horrible checking should be able to knock down from behind a 6'4", 220+ guy, no way.
