Yakupov should be on the point on the powerplay. What a hard shot.

Yakupov is a fantastic passer, he's making some crazy saucer passes out there. Some of his teammates can't even handle them due to power / not expecting them. Bomb of a shot as well, what a one-timer.

It really does. He is playing with significantly inferior talent. Reminds me of when RNH was playing on the third line with the Barons. Pass....no return. Await slapper...no pass.

No wonder he has been so frustrated.

On a lighter note, his one timer he got off there at the end was golden.

ya, he makes a pass that is a thing of buety and the guy on the receiving end just acts like he had not idea it was coming.

The one thing I did not realize is how good of a passer he is.

Travis Ewanyk (EDM) had a good, physical first period but has left the game with an injury (foot or ankle) and not expected to return
I was wondering why I wasnt seeing much of him, thought he got replaced on the Lazar line to add a bit of offense. Hope he's okay.

Left off of that hipcheck.

Yakupov has the puck n a string, elite. Makarov looks good with his mask alone.

For everyone saying Yakupov floats at the line.... He's taken a large defensive role in this series.

Clearly because they don't understand his level of game. He is helping his team when they can't assist him.

Yakupov's linemates are terrible. Absolutely shocking.

Hard to blame them based on this tourney. You can say that he has been targeted, bad linemates etc. But he has been largely invisible. Pretty disappointing efforts from him.

Beautiful back door attempt when Khok has Yak teed around the net wide open. Where's Renney you need a solid line juggle. Put 15 and Shalunov with him.

Anyone can say that based on no peripheral. Please don't feed the animals.

Hunter looks a lot bigger than last year. Caught my eye two years ago.

Did you like that underwhelming play where they had four at the line after Khok lost the puck, Yakupov trailed picked up the puck and beat two then tossed it corner to corner and his teammate drew a penalty with space?

yeah thats true. But just watching these games make me so frustrated with the lack of chances he gets. Obviously once he gets chances he buries, but russia has absolutely 0 chemistry. I pray to God he blends well with the kids in OKC right now

I'm not sure what you mean. Yakupov has been pretty disappointing outside of the first game considering his skillset. I could see that from any angle.

Just once I'd like to see the Russians dump and chase instead of trying to go 1on1 at the blue line.
