Could the Battalion be on the move? (EDIT: Yes, to North Bay)

now if they put Owen Sound with Sudbury and North Bay in the division, I'll get to see a lot more games live

Why don't they put Nord Bay in the Q and Gatineau in the OHL while we are rearranging divisions? Pretty sure North Bay isn't that far from Rouyn Noranda and Val D'or, while Gatineau is walking distance to Ottawa. Just kidding, but it would be great to see these rivalries emerge. Too bad they are maybe the only viable interleague matchups.

Marky: Don't worry, I get the joke.

Just for reference, it's about 4 hours to Rouyn-Noranda...and add another hour for Val d'Or.

4 hours sounds far, but I can't recall any landmarks in between. Blame the whiteout conditions.

Does anyone know once they reach the 2000 threshold, will they continue to sell season tix beyond that? Or will they start a w/l a la WPG Jets II.

Hoping they will keep on going and make it NB the toughest ticket to get

I believe most teams aim to have approx 70% of seats as season tickets. Making the remaining 30% available is good business sense to help grow the market and bring new ppl to the games.
I can't wait to make the roadie to NB to catch a game in a great hockey town and rabid fans!

2000 season tickets is probably around 40%, so I could probably see it go up to around 60% season tickets.

So sorry to see Brampton will no longer have an OHL team. My wife & I had Season Tickets for the Battalion for seven years. When I retired in 2007 we moved to the Sarnia area and bought Season Tickets for the Sting. We enjoyed coming back every so often to see a Brampton game. I never saw a full house at the Bunker (as I knew it) when we had Season Tickets. We want to wish the Battalion all the Best and look forward to your visit in December to Sarnia and next year when you come back as North Bay. We will miss our trips to Brampton to see the Battalion. Sorry North Bay is to far.

It's sad to see the Brampton Battalions leave. But I have to be honest, I rarely went to their games. The last game I attended was when they faced Belleville. P.K. Subban was on the that team.

I remember watching a Battalion game last year on RogersTV and the arena was packed. Wonder what happened?

So is it North Bay Batallion or North Bay Centennials?

I prefer the traditional North Bay name, but Batallion aint bad either.

I believe they've said they are keeping everything from Brampton intact, which I'm not a big fan of.
I've never been a big fan of the Battalion jerseys and not taking the opportunity to create a new look is mind boggling.
