Going with Nigro. He's a solid 3rd/4th line center for the Rivs and while he has a ways to go, he does have the potential to serve that same role in the NHL someday. He hasn't shown much yet this season due to his concussion but he made a big stride last season IMO.
Cundari has fallen quite a bit for me. Right now, he's the #7/8 d-man in Peoria. That's just not going to cut it, especially as a 3rd year pro. If I had to guess, I doubt the Blues the-sign him at the end of the season.
I also considered Lundstrom, Della Rovere (who is still out with injury but has similar potential to Nigro) and Karpowich.
It's REALLY tough to decide now. The goalies are the best bets to hit AND to miss (highest ceilings AND highest possibility of busting). The skaters have low high-end potential. The closest and best bet is probably Nigro (as a 4th line NHL forward). Cundari probably has almost no chance of being a regular NHLer. Sonne has only a very outside chance. Tardy, Gardiner and most of the others are extreme longshots.
I went with Nigro. But, I have the feeling that one of Tremblay or Lundström will become more valuable in the end.

I see it the exact same way. Lundstrom and/or Tremblay will very likely either become valuable pro assets or completely useless prospects. Teenage goalies are nearly impossible to project, especially ones who are still quite rough around the edges like these two are.
I only see 3 players on here that I even view as border line prospects. Gardiner, Lundbohm, and Lundstrom. The others are suspects and roster fillers. Gardiner is still young and is at least making a turn in the right direction. Lundbohm is very young playing much like Jaskin did in the Czech league. To be getting a regular shift on a pro Finn team says alot. Numbers remind me of Hellstrom...ha ha. No offense. Lundstrom is playing up and well too. The question is as it always has been...can you get either one of them over here?
No offense to Shattuck, Sonne, Nigro, Karpowich, Tremblay, Barriball, Shields or Cundari just being suspects...hopefully, they have some Pete Kozma in them???

I agree with most of them being suspects except maybe the two goalies. I am pretty disappointed in how Karpowich has played this year though. I was really hoping he was a diamond in the rough considering how he carried a college program.

I think you're underrating Nigro here. He's established himself as a much better bottom-6 forward than either Sonne or Shattock IMO. He still only has an outside shot of making it in the NHL but its still a much better shot than either Shattock or Sonne IMO.
I also don't think it makes any sense to write off a goalie like Tremblay. He's only 18!! He could easily develop into a player way more valuable than a whole host of players that have already been voted for.

I agree 100% here. Tremblay has very good reflexes and sees the play well. Positioning is learned. He has 9 years before he is 27, when the late goalies finally come into their own. Writing him (or ANY goalie) off at age 18 is irrational.

I debated saying 4 guys. You both are right. Tremblay should have been included. I just look at his save pctg., then remember the Q and defense don't go together.
