Again
Saad-6'2,211 lb LW
Hayes-6'5,210 lb RW
McNeil-6'2,210lb C
Hawks can keep TT their 5'11,165lb C .
I'm on record as a Teravainen doubter, but come on. 5'11, 165 is hardly miniscule, even by NHL standards. He may be underweight, but again, he's 18. Also, the Habs lack of size gets overblown. It's not like every player on the team can be 6'2+. Were I the Habs I would absolutely take TT over McNeill (who I also seriously doubt the NHL potential of, but that's another story)
What is this? All of a sudden this is a wonderful deal lol. We've spent the last 5 months arguing with each other about Pleks to Chicago and this similar deal always got shot down

Probably because these guys are getting better/more valuable. Good for us.
With Chicago having so much cap space tied up in there big 4 forwards (Toews, Hossa, Sharp, Hossa) and 2 D (Seabrook and Keith) I doubt they'll have the cap room to fit in a guy like Plekanec at a 5 million cap hit beyond this season.
If we have a season I see it being a better fit for the Hawks to acquire a 2nd line center with an expiring contract like a Bozak, Connolly who wouldn't cost a lot to acquire OR a 2nd liner with a manageable cap hit like a Gagner, Brassard or Wheeler.

Agree, that the notion of the Habs being small is mostly old news.
In the last few seasons they've added Cole, Bourque and Pacioretty as 3 of their top 4 wingers in TOI.
Not sure how wise of a move this would be, and i'm sure its overzealous since its being suggested almost immediately after Beach started playing well but nonetheless...
What would the value be if the Hawks packaged together 3-4 of these prospects + 2013 1st rounder
Morin
Beach
Jimmy Hayes
and ONE of McNeil/Saad/Tuevo
It seems like the Hawks have almost too many good prospects and not enough roster spots for them. Again, i know this is overzealous but with Toews, Kane, Sharp, Hossa, and Bolland being long term parts of the core, that leaves little room for more than two of these guys to step in. Especially if 2 of 3 of Saad/McNeil/Tuevo become as good as projected, i dont see where the rest will fit.
Saad, Jimmy Hayes, and your 2013 1st for Plekanec, Kristo + 2013 3rd.
Habs get some good young pieces, the Hawks get the elite second line center they need without giving up a roster player.
