How much does Horton get on the open market? you gotta think the 6-2 230 pound winger will get a TON of interest if the season is wiped out and he hits UFA

It really depends on what he does if there is a season.
If he is the same player as he was before his injury and he actually makes it to UFA, my guess is that he will easily get $5 million and depending on how many players are available that have the potential to score 30 goals in a season, he could get more.
If there is no season, I have no idea but I bet somebody would take a chance if the Bruins didn't re-sign him.
I also have a hunch that the Bruins will re-sign him either way.

I think he stays a Bruin but if Boston offers 4 @ 16m and a team like the leafs offer 5 @ 25 I think he would leave.
Hard to guess on this considering we don't know what the cap will be. Under the old CBA, I bet he gets 6 years at 6mil per. People seem to overpay for powerforwards who can score, Horton is exactly that.

IF the season plays out and Horton is back to his usual self, Id say a fair number would be 5 or 5.5m for 3yrs. He loves Boston, Boston loves him..perfect fit, plus he plays 'tougher' knowing Lucic has his back. IMO Horton stays in Boston.

But, assuming there's a season with all things being equal, Horton has a salary of 5.5mil this year. I highly doubt he wants to drop from that. Under the old CBA I'm certain he'd accept a 6 year front loaded contract from Boston for around that cap hit. 7m, 7m, 5m, 5m, 4m, 4m (5.33mil cap hit).
Now, under the new CBA, players are likely looking at a salary roll back. Horton may decide he doesn't want to take less than what he's worth now to offset that, who knows. In which case, he may demand a 5 year contract at around 5.75mil-6mil per season. This is all speculation on my part, but I feel upcoming UFAs will likely look to maximize contract values after this lockout to compensate for salary lost. I doubt they'll be as inclined to give out hometown discounts. Maybe Horton is different and this doesn't apply directly to him, but its certainly a trend I think we should all expect.
I dont know much about him to be honest but I will bet there is 1 thing he loves more than all you mentioned. That is money.

And again, you or I have no clue what he wants/doesnt want, so your post means nothing, and saying things like "he likes money more" and "he'll be gone" is just completely absurd.
The whole, "player X left for more money so player Y could too" argument, which is always a possibility, I guess. Bottom line is, you have 0 clue whether Horton would go to team X offering 6.5 a year or Boston offering 5.5 a year, because neither of us know whats going on in his head.
All we know is, he loves Boston and everything that comes with it, and he has a very good chance to compete for Cups for the remainder of his career. His friends are here, hes played great hockey here, and could feasibly get a good contract here. Judging by his interviews/various comments about the city/everything that comes with it, I will be genuinely surprised if he doesnt re sign in Boston.
I also referred to this in my first post with "if his money demands are ridiculously too high then I don't see him leaving," so I dont see why this is an issue.
Parise loved NJ, Briere loved Buffalo, Suter loved NSH, Richards loved Dallas... Campbell loved Buffalo. Players chase money it happens all the time.

Judging by his interviews/comments over his time here about how much he loves the city and everything that comes with it, I highly doubt hed leave and go chase the cash elsewhere when the Bruins assumingly would offer him a reasonable deal and a chance to win.
Simplified, if Horton receives a "fair" deal by his estimation, I highly doubt hed leave to go to a random team strictly for extra cash. Not to mention, Chiarelli has been known to "overpay" his players a tad, so I'm sure if he remains here he'll be happy as a clam with his salary.
