How did that little tirade work out for you Cal? And we all need a reminder that you cannot stop a Plumlee, you can only hope to contain it!
LETS GO DUKE!
I spoke to Glenn Geffner Monday on Twitter and then the big fire sale happened Tuesday
And I am not impressed by Curry or Plumlee. It was one game
Over the course of the full season, neither was really impressive last year. The team was largely Rivers, who tapered off down the stretch. The team was so bad they lost to Lehigh.
So as Cal said before the game, it's a marathon, not a sprint. I don't think this Duke team is really any good. As usual, they are overrated. They lost because Kentucky is inexperienced and raw.

Duke was overrated last year. We should have probably rolled in as a 4 seed, but we're Duke, so we get the 2 seed.

Hey, I gotta stick up for my Dukies! LOL Other than when they play The U, I loyally cheer them on. Coach K is a class act. Coach Cal could learn a thing or three from him.
I did see your tweet to Gef and his tweet back to you.. I love Gef. I'm not on Twitter but I read his tweets. If I ever decide to join, I would follow him. He has yet to tweet about the fire sale.
Eh, he's great and everything but when I watch sports on TV I don't want the descriptiveness of the radio call. I can see the game, don't need to hear everything. Plus it never syncs up, one is always behind.
IU beats Sam Houston St. 99-45. I'm ready for 2 real opponents next week.

Everyone that's seen me post in here knows that despite working here I'm relatively neutral on the Dukies. Probably leaning towards them being my ACC team to support, but that's more football because 1: Cutcliffe and 2: They've sucked for so long it would be awesome if they were good, which they now are getting close to.
But it's WAY too early to say on Duke this year. The Plumlees are overrated (yep, I said it) but I think Curry could very well be the real deal. This team seems like it's going to be more about the team concept game then the individual stars, which is something that Duke's been lacking since their last title. The new PG already looks to be buying into the team concept better then Rivers ever did.
That said, I don't think they get any farther then the Elite 8 (if they get that far even) as in terms of sheer talent they lack behind Kansas, Indiana, NC State and a number of other teams including the Kentucky team they just beat.
FWIW, I wasn't laughing at him, I was laughing at the situation... UCLA's top recruit ruled ineligible right before the season gets underway due to some petty violations. Catch my drift?
