I get your frustration, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to get hired somewhere and not actually do your job. It sounds unfulfilling. And boring.

I've called the post office. I've spoken to the postal carrier directly. The night guy who picks up the public boxes in the area has complained to his boss on my behalf.

The guy just doesn't care, and there doesn't seem to be any recourse.

Go to Northtowns Center and catch a little hockey. Not sure what is going on over there tonight, but there is always the pub on the second floor.

The Northtowns Center (just off of Millersport near the football stadium) is a local rink, I want to say there are 4 rinks in it. It's all local teams playing there, everything from travel leagues to school teams to adult leagues. I've never been but I would presume there is no admission to go in and watch the games but with the amount of rinks and teams/leagues that play there, there should be no probably being able to catch an interesting competitive game.

It honestly depends on the who is playing. Some schools/clubs will set up little tables outside of the entrances and charge a nominal fee ($1-5).

You can just walk in, and there's several different games rinks. If there's a table set up in front of the entrance to a rink they'll probably ask for a nominal fee ($1-5). So avoid rinks with tables set up if you don't want to pay.

I used to do play by play for my school (D3) and the games were always awesome. Even at that level, the skill was there that it was definitely organized ice hockey, and the game flows much more naturally without a "system".

Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind heading up there to just randomly catch games again.

I still find it hilarious that people actually go up to Blue Oyster Cult and offer condolences for their loss, given how Gene Frenkle died in 2000.

Saw some excellent hockey the other day. Buffalo Jr.Sabres 18U (Regals v. Depew Sanits ( Nichols top team). Playoff game. 2-1 in overtime. Best hockey in the area, by far. Couple of kids who will go Division I and maybe get drafted.

my old team!! How many days and nights I spent getting snowed on at either end of that rink

when the snow was getting blown around outside the roofed in area, we'd get mini snow showers in the rink...

the good old days.

i remember a few pages back, someone was complaining about a $3.95 modem fee from Time Warner.

What did I get in the mail today? "We will start charging you $3.95 for a modem fee in November". Because $50 a month for ****** internet isn't enough.

Thanks for the laugh. I needed it.

Wife was raging all night last night. I said, "Hi" and that was it for the talking to each other for the night.

That's ridiculous. Women don't do that.
