Terry Pegula (Buf):
- East Resources (natural gas drilling company)
- Rochester Americans (AHL)
- Buffalo Bandits (lacrosse)
- He apparently also owns a share of a country music label called Black River Music Group
- Recently won a bid to develop the Webster block (pretty much across the street form the FNC), where he'll be building 2 hockey rinks, a hotel, a parking garage, and retail spaces

I bet that's dropping with the amount of disputes they've been having with every other TV channel each year.

I don't believe Leipold owns anything but the Wild any more. He founded Ameritel and at one point owned a company called Rainfair(made rubber boots or something).

His Wife is an heir and partial owner to S.C. Johnsons (CEO of their outdoor brand) She's the bread winner these days.

Except you can't switch cable providers, so either you can get satellite, which no one wants, or FiOS, which is much more expensive. Cablevision is pretty much a monopoly in the areas that have it.

Doesn't he also own a few casinos, or at least a share of them?

His wife owns a casino. He isn't allowed to own one because of MLB rules.

Here we go. This is MLSE assets. MLSE is of course owned by Bell and Rogers, which together own almost all of Canada's telecommunications (and the Jays as well)

Quote:
MLSE

Valued at $521 million USD, the Maple Leafs are the most valuable team in the NHL.[14]
Toronto Raptors (NBA)
Valued at $382 Million USD, the Raptors are the twelfth most valuable team in the NBA[15]
Toronto FC (CONCACAF/MLS)
Valued at $44 million USD, Toronto FC is the second most valuable team in Major League Soccer[16]
Toronto Marlies (AHL)
TFC Academy (Canadian Soccer League)

Facilities and properties

Air Canada Centre, a multi-purpose indoor arena in Downtown Toronto, home arena of the Maple Leafs and Raptors. ($265 Million CAD)
Maple Leaf Square, a real estate development in Downtown Toronto, adjacent to Air Canada Centre, developed in partnership with fellow OTPP subsidiary Cadillac Fairview. The development includes, among other tenants, the following businesses operated by MLSE:
Real Sports Bar & Grill, a sports-themed restaurant
Real Sports Apparel, a sports clothing store
e11even, an upscale restaurant on the corner of Bremner and York streets.[17]

MLSE also operates two facilities owned by the City of Toronto:

BMO Field, home of Toronto FC (MLS) and the Canadian men's national soccer team (CONCACAF)
Ricoh Coliseum, home of the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Television channels

Leafs TV, a specialty television channel devoted to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies
NBA TV Canada, a local version of NBA TV which also devotes part of its schedule to specific coverage of the Toronto Raptors
GolTV Canada (80.1% holding), a local version of GolTV, broadcasts selected Toronto FC games and other team coverage, along with various international soccer games.

Comcast isn't available in Cablevision area's?

Also, FiOS may cost more money, but I made the jump from DirecTV and it was well worth it.
