Now it's 5-3 Aero's. 2 goals within 33 seconds I think. And Markstrom is not in net so no concern about him today.

Whew! Looks like we got our clocks cleaned this game and with Dov in net. Usually he doesn't let in that many goals. Must be a bad day. I'm having a crappy day too. Wish they didn't have to lose with that big of a crowd. 10,700 + screaming rampage fans (mostly kids). Wish i could have been there. Oh well...

Just looked at the box score and kinda LOL'd seeing that Houston's coach is John Torchetti and one of the asst coaches is Mike Van Ryn.

Shore had 3 assists today and I think he's making himself more and more valuable, especially if Weiss doesnt end up staying with the Panthers.

Towards the end of the game the guys all started to clump together wherever the puck was. Hopefully the guys can pull it together for Thursday. Stars and Rampage are both tied with 9 points for the season so far.

Shore and Howden with a goal each in the Rampage's game tonight. Rampage up 2-0 over Charlotte in the 2nd period. Markstrom in net.

Anyone saw the game? What happened in the third, Markstrom's fault or poor defense play ?

Both. Petrovic and Robak just haven't been very good in their own end and Markstrom isn't making the saves he should.

If there's anyone out there in Pantherland that still cares, I will be live tweeting today's game vs. Charlotte.

Are they paired up together? Two offensive d-men on the same line doesn't sound like a good idea if thats the case.

Petro got hurt in the 1st, never came back to finish the game. This team is so up and down I just don't get it. We keep turning the puck over way to much. Only two good things to say about the loss yesterday was that we got a point and we had over 30 shots of goal.

No. Robak plays with Yonkman and Petrovic was playing with Caruso. Like Jessica said though, Petro was hurt after a hard hit yesterday and didn't return. Could be out a while.

I don't understand what's not to get. This team currently has 10 rookies augmented by career AHL'ers and borderline AHL/ECHL guys playing on the 3rd line. They aren't as good as every other team they play.

Team like Charlotte and OKC are playing AHL All-Stars on their 3rd lines or sending them to the ECHL. Our current 3rd line is McFarland/Gomes/Rallo.

Our top defensive prospects (Petro and Robak) have been dreadful defensively. They aren't passing with any conviction and routinely breaking down after sustained pressure from the opposition.

And if anyone asks, it's not Weber's fault. As was said in conversation in the pressbox yesterday, "Scotty Bowman couldn't win in this league with this team".

If there is a team that needs the lockout to end more quickly than the Rampage, I'd be very surprised.

I mean, was there any doubt going into the season that this team would be weak? Then opposed to all the other teams, there are no young Panthers playing on this team. For as bad as the defense has been.. Like Nate has stated, McFarland/Gomes/Rallo, is not a good 3rd line in comparison to the rest of the league. As much as I personally like McFarland.. IDK why we could get an Aucoin type, or keep Matsumoto?

What is the reasoning behind only having one assistant? Just curious.

Agreed, especially with the comment about Webber. He can only do so much, the guys just need to translate it during the game.

The guys need to spread out a bit and put a man in front of the net, lately they have not been doing that. Hopefully the guys can clear out the fog in their heads and start winning some more games.

It's not uncommon for AHL teams to have just one assistant. I have my ideas as to why...but some things are better left unsaid.
