So NYR played my CPU I guess sometime today.. I didn't message him, and he didn't message me either. But I don't think that means that he can just play my CPU early in the sim day, without any warning or messages. Now I have an extra loss, and I had the same issue with NYR last season. I'm not saying you're SCARED of me, but when you do **** like this more than once, what else am I going to think? And the worst part is you just enabled your CPU! So what did you do? Go online, play my team, and then enable your CPU? What a piss off.

That despite dozens of mentionings by the Commissioner, you still have not grasped the "message your opponents" part of the league?
Especially considering that 27 of 30 teams have been in this league since last season, i'm getting really, really tired of saying this again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again.
So, one more time, with Gusto...
1) Message your opponents! Its an almost statistical certainty that if you message all of your opponents you will get all or most of your games in that block.
2) When you message your opponents, all you need to do is the following...
-Go to the 1st page of either this thread or the Trade/Lineup thread
-Click the HF Username of your opponent, its a hyperlink to their PM Box
-Send them a message that looks like this...
Quote:
Hey man i have you on my schedule this period. I'm available (Central Time)..
Today: 2:30-11pm
Wednesday: 9pm-11pm
Thursday: 11am-2pm, 8pm-11pm
Let me know which time works best for you
...it takes 5-7 minutes to message your opponents.
3) Message your ****ing opponents
I have no sympathy for you Couto. The exact same thing happened to Toronto and i talked to the Rangers GM immediately. Why? Because he Messaged his Opponents.
One more time, just in case even the seasoned members of this league forgot...

In the Bluth Company we have a 3 day sim period that covers 2 weeks of NHL Games. GMs have 2 days to schedule their games. On the 3rd day, ONLY if you have made a honest effort to schedule a game with your opponent, either through HF Boards messaging or Xbox, can you then play your opponent's computer.
I messaged NYR two days ago and got no response back. Was going to play his computer tonight but he already went ahead and played mine. He lost anyways but I still can't help but be annoyed. ****** move IMO.

When it comes to technicality, fine, my fault I guess. When it comes to respect, one person to another, it's gone. No messages throughout the day from him, I'm on alot so I assumed it would be fine to log on and play him, but at least Dallas and I messaged each other today, we didn't just log on and play CPU. So fine, I don't expect you to do anything, fuss, but NYR should expect me to message him THE SECOND I see him on my schedule, and he'll be getting every bit of effort from the Winnipeg Jets.
it's silly to be excited about this.. but this block I went 3-2-1.. not great, but better than how i've been doing.. and only one of the losses was a blowout.. the other i should've probably won.. things MAY be turning around for LA.. likely not this season, but watch out for possibly next season.. but im not getting my hopes up.
I'm going to talk to the Rangers GM. I thought he only played Toronto, not EVERYONE on his schedule. But it becomes your fault as well if you dont message him. You're just "hoping" you're going to get your game in and you set yourself up for instances like this.

For what it's worth NYR and I tried to play a game earlier and my connection crapped out. I thought he would have played me in the meantime but that was not the case so I just got done playing him. I had been messaging him for a couple of days though.
Budaj puts in a solid performance and the take it 4-2 with an emptynetter.
I'm making up ground and am now one of 3 teams tied at 55pts in the East, 59 gets you eighth.

Being able to get a better record is nothing to scoff at.
Be confident in your wins and learn in your losses. As soon as you start letting goals get to you then you stop having fun and you lose more often.
Our two games were a lot of fun because we were both able to keep it close and compete.
Hanzal (left) and Eberle (right), who appears to be attempting to ride his coattails to victory.
The Coyotes have been rolling. After going 4-2 and citing their defensive play as the reason for their success, Phoenix has been holding their own and defeating teams in a bid for a playoff berth. Martin Hanzal scored 4 goals and 5 points to lead the team through the stretch, including two game winners. Keith Yandle and Oliver Ekman-Larsson have proven their mettle as a dominant defensive pairing, combining for 10 points in 7 games.
“Me and Harry have gotten some real chemistry lately, and with guys like Shane and Martin knocking heads on the forecheck, we have had a lot of time and space,” Said Yandle.
Shane Doan had a quiet section, but coach Dave Tippet assured that he left a big impression on the team during this last stretch. “He’s a ****ing animal,” Said Tippet as gracefully as he could.
The team is now five points out of a playoff spot, behind only Vancouver and Nashville.
Eberle Watch: Jordan Eberle knotted 4 assists for the club during the stretch, increasing his point total to 21, 4th on the team.
How's Frolik been for you by the way? He went up to an 80 something too right?
well if he was being controlled by a GM who was good at the game, his totals would probably be higher..
he's 6th on the team with 13g 7a 20pts
compared to grabners 1st with 23g 13a 36pts
it has not been a very good offensive year for anyone.
Grabner went out of the gate at a 1GPG through the first 17 games.. but has fallen off dramatically.
been hard to score goals :-(
