Why is it so weird? Most players seperate on ice and off ice antics. And contrary to popular belief, players on rival teams don't just hate rival teams players because they are a rival. Neal seems like a pretty chill dude off the ice, seems like a quiet laid back guy. I doubt he was invited, he probably volunteered, and it's all for a good cause.
