Most people probably don't have full season tickets. But those who do use this thread so we can ***** about prices and how the Rangers find new ways to screw us over

I couldn,t have said it any better. I still haven,t received my autographed stick for paying with my Visa. My 9 year old son keeps asking me about it. Sometimes it is the little things that piss off us STH,s !

As I recall, my Brian Leetch plaque came during the second half of the season the last time I got a gift for using a particular card, I think it was Amex then and that was a couple years ago.

I was just thinking, if the new CBA does indeed add revenue sharing, does that mean Dolan will increase prices even more after the lockout to make up for lost money that goes to other teams?
I'm afraid to think of what the blue seats will cost in 3-4 years.

As we've seen previously, what the new CBA does or doesn't include has no bearing on ticket prices...they only go up. Remember last time around when the owners successfully added a salary cap...for "cost certainty"? Well 8 years later the Rangers payroll is no more than it was prior to the cap being implemented, yet we all know how that worked out for us. Ticket prices have more than doubled in that time...and they will continue to rise until people/corporations decide it's just not worth it anymore.

What goes up must come down. There's a point where fans just stop paying ,and it usually doesn't happen when the team is winning. STHs will grin and bear it during a good run, but when the run is over they leave in droves and won't come back for a long time (some never do come back).

Today the National Hockey League cancelled all games scheduled through November 1st, 2012. As you know, November 1st was the date originally scheduled for the Rangers regular season home opener.

I became a season ticket holder in 1998. There was one ticket increase that I remember (in the summer of 1999). After that, the price remained the same until after the lockout, when ticket prices decreased by 10%. However, the only reason why ticket prices dropped in 2005 was due to the fact that James Dolan opened his mouth in early 2004 and said if the Rangers didn't make the playoffs, they would drop ticket prices 10%.
Not raising ticket prices for 6 years is equal to a decrease because of inflation.
So I put down 500 dollar deposit for season tickets this year. Was not offered season tickets, however if there is not even a season, I feel as though I should be entitled to a refund. The contract says no refunds but it also says for 2012-2013 season tickets. So no season, should mean refund.

Have to think you are entitled to get your deposit back if a) they don't offer you tickets for this season, or b) there is no this season. Otherwise they could just never offer you tickets and keep your money.
If the season gets canned, I'd imagine prices would stay the same correct? Not a shot in hell they raise them and I don't see anyway they're lowering them.

If they go up even $1.00 next year, I'll demand a refund and won't renew. I decided to keep the money on my account during the lockout, but won't think twice about dropping the seats if they have the nerve to raise prices.

They may make an exception because of the strike but your deposit gets you on the waiting list and if there are no tickets available in 2012-13 they will keep your deposit until they are able to offer you tickets. Then what happens is they will tell you that you must take lower level seats for $230/seat (that you will never be able to sell for face value) or you move to the end of the waiting list until your number comes up again and the process starts over again.
You have to understand thet you are basically dealing with a monopoly, they dont care about any of us, they dont need to call you back and they dont need to refund your money. You cant go to a competitor and buy Rangers season tickets.
I love being a STH but this is an awful organization to do business with.
never received that email, then again I got the letter 2 days before the deadline was due about if I want to get a refund or keep my money in the account
IF they come to some sort of agreement soon and announce a 48 or 52 or 60 game season, whatever, any chance that I could get season tickets? I'm not on a waiting list or anything. Quickly browsing some posts above, others waiting have already put down $500? Looks like I'd be out of luck then. Just was thinking today that I could afford a partial season and perhaps some angry fans choose not to keep their tix.
If anyone could just give a quick update on what's currently going on with seasons, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
